IMMIGRATION CONSULTANT BUSINESS PLAN SAMPLE

Our immigration consulting business plan guide will unveil all there is to know.

Executive Summary

This is a critical section of your immigration consulting business that precedes the plan. It’s written for various purposes such as for selling the business to investors.

Another reason why you need to incorporate the executive summary is to help give readers an overview of what your plan is about.

It includes an introduction to the business, as well as a company description. The executive summary must also briefly capture the market analysis, organizational description, and management team.

Other details include the product line, marketing plan, funding request & use as well as financial projections. Each of these areas is critical to helping your reader understand what your immigration business is about.

Overview & Objectives

This section of your immigration consulting business plan has to do with the details.

Here, you’re no longer constraining yourself to the most basic information as in the executive summary section. You want to let your reader know as much about your business as possible.

Here, you’ll be focusing on the goals and visions of your proposed or existing business. In effect, you’ll be dwelling on the ‘who’, the where, what, why, and when. All these details give the reader a deeper understanding of what the business seeks to achieve.

In writing this section, include your preferred legal structure, business formation, and the specific niche of immigration consulting you’re interested in.

As a service-centered business, also include its potential for profitability, location, and operational hours.

All of these are crucial to fully understanding your current and plans. In terms of implementation, your objectives help simplify the process. Plans are better executed with more precision.

Products & Services

A detailed description of your services is crucial.

Immigration consulting services offer a wide array of services and products. These may include social security, cost projections, tax compliance, policy development, and assignment planning, etc. Whatever they are, you’ll need to clearly state them.

Key areas that are mostly considered include the service or product comparison, as well as accreditation.

More details include pricing, sales & distribution services, as well as fulfillment. You may want to also include expansion plans, photos or brochures, and your unique selling point.

This information goes a long way to clarify existing or propose services as well as the possible inclusion of immigration-related services in the future.

Market Opportunities

The market opportunity for an immigration consulting business is massive.

As such, you’ll need to clearly work such numbers into this section of your plan. This includes identifying a large and profitable niche that encompasses market size, potential growth, and profitability.

Other contents to add here include the brainstorming session. Under this section, you’ll need to figure out offers to provide to your customers. Why is there a focus on a specific area or niche of immigration consulting?

What immigration needs do you wish to address? What are the solutions like?

You’ll also need to set your targets, and also test your market opportunity analysis. All these points are key to writing an effective market opportunities section of your plan.

You want an immigration plan to be implementable.

Sales & Marketing

The sales and marketing section of your immigration consulting business plan should include the budget and unique value proposition.

Other points to include are the pricing strategy, marketing plan, and sales or distribution plan.

To set up your immigration consulting business, certain costs are incurred. All of such costs such be calculated. This allows you to handle your finances much better.

Unique Value Proposition

Immigration consulting serves a wide range of needs. Here, you want to solve such needs or problems by offering value or solutions.

Pricing Strategy

A clear pricing structure must be in place to assess what clients are willing to pay as well as the going rate in the industry.

Having identified the pricing structure of other consulting businesses, you can improve on such by adding value to your services. Clients readily sense such and will be willing to spend more to get better value.

Marketing Plan

Effectively marketing your immigration consulting business is key to expanding your earnings. This is where a marketing plan comes into play. All marketing strategies must be included here.

Sales or Distribution Plan

Services and products need to reach clients easily. This should clearly highlight all possible ways you intend to reach targeted clients with your immigration consulting services.

Competitive Analysis

Under this section of your immigration consulting plan, key information like identifying your competitors and describing their operations is necessary.

In describing you want to include why you think such businesses are competitors.

Who are your competitor’s target markets? List their pricing, itemize their marketing strategies. You want to also identify their competitive advantages, as well as their weaknesses.

As a service-centered firm, you’ll need an operations plan that does enable you to achieve the following; it must enhance profitability as well as keep your operating costs low. In a nutshell, your operating plan should be about how to run your business.

Financial Analysis

When it comes to financial analysis, it’s simply about the numbers. This section of your immigration consulting business helps with an evaluation of your business idea. In other words, it determines if your business is viable or not.

The financial analysis should cover basic areas like the income statement and the balance sheet. Others include the breakeven analysis, the cash flow statement, and the operating budget.

Writing an effective immigration consulting business plan should include all the above information. We’ve provided the needed guidance on the path to follow. With these, you should have little difficulty putting your plant together.

9 Tips To Start A Successful Immigration Consultancy Business

Before starting your business, analyze your competitors to select the right location, identify costs, get professional licenses, and create brand awareness.

An Immigration Consultant helps people emigrate from the boundaries of one country to another. They give ideas and consult people who are willing to travel to different countries.

The number of people migrating to different parts of the world has increased significantly in recent years. So the demand for immigration consultants has also increased.

Are Immigration Consultancy Businesses Worth It?

As we mentioned, the number of people migrating from one place to another has increased. Since more people are migrating, borders and immigration rules are becoming even stricter and require several procedures. Sometimes completing and collecting all the necessary paperwork can be quite complicated.

If you are someone with significant knowledge regarding immigration, you can use it to help many people out and make good money. The immigration agencies that can provide accurate information about posting a  SWA Job Order are highly preferable and get plenty of customers.

The capital required to start is also meager. As many migrants are helplessly stuck in different countries, starting this business will also significantly help them.

In this article, we will go through the essential tips to set your immigration consultancy business.

1. Choose The Right Location

The competition of this business mostly depends on the location. If your business is the only one in a place with a large number of migrants, then it is likely, you will face no competition.

You should also consider following the trends created by larger and successful immigration consultant businesses. Try not to make independent decisions till your business grows.

2. Conduct Accurate Cost Analysis

Unlike other businesses, very little money is required to start an immigration consulting business. On the other hand, it is one of those businesses that is sure to make you some serious earnings.

You can start your business in your house for starters, and the cost includes the phone calls you make. Other expenses will begin to come up like rent for your office, utilities, maintenance, wages, tax, and further licensing if you start to grow.

3. Sort Out The Finances For Your Business

It is straightforward to control the finances of immigration consulting businesses. Most common costs would be office rent, office equipment like computers and printers, utility, phone, and internet subscriptions.

Apart from that, the costs are the bare minimum, and it is even possible to start the business from home to reduce the cost even more. But as the business grows, getting a secure office in a suitable location becomes a must. If there is a financial shortage, consider getting a loan.

4. Accept information & ideas from experts.

The immigration procedures do not change often. If you know an expert in the industry, try to imitate his policies and procedures to ensure success. This will also help you properly  expand your business.

While doing the immigrant consultant program, it will be possible to create connections with many students who also plan to start a similar business.

5. You Have To Create A Thorough Business Plan

Every business needs a plan and so do immigration consultancy businesses. Although this might look difficult, having a clear mind could make things easier.

Questions like what type of people want to receive consultancy, how to approach these people, where the business will be in five years are essential to answer but should be considered in your business plan.

6. Improve Ways of communication

Consultation is all about communication. You need to appear friendly and approachable, as that is the whole purpose of a consultation business.

There are various communication skill development programs. Doing them would undoubtedly provide a beneficial result. Always try to be calm, be a good listener, understand what the person sitting in front of you is trying to say, and be careful with what you say.

Saying something slightly misleading or slightly offending will hurt your business.

7. Help Others Without Expecting Much in Return

A consultancy program is all about helping others and pulling them up from any dire situation.

More than a business, it should be considered a humanitarian activity. Like most other humanitarian acts, an immigrant consultant should think about helping the immigrant rather than growing the business.

Because the whole purpose of an immigration consulting business is to help the immigrants, doing so will also benefit your business.

8. Get A Professional Certificate

A professional certificate will give you a lot of positive reviews. A professional certificate means you have expertise in this area, making you appear more trustworthy to those who come to you.

Some certificates like The Immigration Specialist Paralegal Certificate, Certified Immigration Consultant & Certified Immigration Forms Preparer will make the consultancy business appear more professional and trustworthy.

So pursuing these certificates is advised by most successful immigrant consultants. Apart from these certificates, a lot of documents are required too, such as an article  of incorporation , business license & certification, non–disclosure agreement  are very important.

9. Use The Right Ways To Increase Brand Awareness

Apart from following all these methods, some other techniques can boost the business significantly and make you appear like a successful immigrant consultant. These strategies include-

  • Create a company website with informative content
  • Print advertisements in newspapers or broadcast them on television.
  • Asking clients for referrals, reviews, and recommendations will help you grow your business immensely.
  • Publish flyers and leaflets and hand them to the people of different communities.
  • Use the internet and promote the business through social media.
  • Try to contact migrant-intense communities as much as possible.

Final thoughts

Business can be of many sorts, and the immigrant consultation business is a unique one. This is more of a humanitarian activity than just a consulting business. Even so, this still has a lot of room for growth and can be very profitable with minimal cost to start.

It’s crucial to research and comply with the licensing and registration requirements in your jurisdiction. Additionally, adhere to any federal regulations related to immigration consulting.

4. How Do I Price My Services?

Answer: Pricing your immigration consulting services can depend on several factors, including the complexity of the case, your experience, and the services offered. You can choose to charge clients based on hourly rates, flat fees, or a combination of both. Research the market to determine competitive pricing, and be transparent with clients about your fee structure from the beginning. Consider offering free initial consultations to discuss their needs and provide a cost estimate.

5. What Ethical Guidelines Should I Follow as an Immigration Consultant?

Answer: Maintaining ethical standards is paramount in the immigration consulting industry. Some essential ethical guidelines include:

  • Honesty and Transparency: Always provide accurate information and set realistic expectations for clients regarding their immigration prospects.
  • Confidentiality: Safeguard client information and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Avoid Unauthorized Practice: Do not offer legal advice or services unless you are qualified to do so, and never impersonate an attorney.
  • No Guarantee of Outcomes: Never guarantee the success of an immigration application or process, as outcomes depend on various factors beyond your control.
  • Continued Education: Stay updated on immigration laws and regulations to provide current and accurate advice.
  • Avoid Conflicts of Interest: Disclose any potential conflicts of interest to clients and act in their best interests.
  • Fair Fees: Charge reasonable and fair fees for your services.

Migration regulations are tightening as the number of individuals moving for work, education, or other reasons is increasing. If you are someone who is knowledgeable about immigration, you might want to take advantage of it.

Pick a suitable place

Always make an effort to select a place with fewer immigration consultants. You will not encounter intense market rivalry if you live in a place where there are a lot of potential immigrants and few or no organizations providing these services.

Market research

Fund collection.

We have discussed fund raising as a part of market research in the above section. But, how do you get them? Multiple sources of funding are available. You can choose to finance yourself, borrow money from friends and family, seek angel investors, or use bank loans.

Boost communication skills

The entire purpose of this article is to assist you in starting an immigration consulting firm. Before beginning your market study, pick an ideal place. Follow the market leaders, do a cost study, and plan to collect the monies. Next, identify your target market and the funding source. And don’t forget to improve your communication abilities.

When you have finished, you are ready to formulate your immigration consultant business plan.

business

One of the crucial goals that you may want to achieve for your consultancy business or any business is to expand it to a different country, which is a great way to increase your market share. However, if you intend to extend your business operations to a foreign country, you will have to comply with the particular requirements for that specific country, such as E-2 Visa, L-1 Visa, and EB-5 Visa. To obtain one, you need to develop an immigration  business plan . In this article, we will discuss more of it. We also included a set of templates and examples that you can use as a reference if you are planning to develop this type of document.

An Immigration Business Plan is a business plan that the immigration authorities require for the business people to operate in a foreign country, such as Canada, along with the residency requirements and other legal documents.

Additionally, it is the only way to communicate with the authorities about your business goals. Therefore, if you decide to operate your business in another country, you have to make sure that this  business proposal  follows the United States Citizenship guidelines and Immigration Services(USCIS) and Visa standards. By adhering to these standards, you will get a high chance of getting the approval to proceed.

If you are planning to expand the operations of your business to Canada or other countries, you have to make sure to include all the necessary details. Depending on what type of investor Visa you are going to apply for, the number of pages may differ. Nevertheless, regardless of which one you choose, it should include items, such as executive summary, business overview, employee hiring plan,  market analysis , competition overview, marketing strategy, industry analysis, job descriptions, and  organizational chart . It should also include a 5-year projection of profit and loss statement and balance sheet projection.

In creating a business plan, you have to determine the purpose of obtaining this type of document. By doing so, you can focus your business plan writing in a way that will compel its target audience. This time, your target audience is the immigration authorities. Thus, you have to design it in a way that will convince these particular people. Below are the templates and examples that you can use as your guideline in creating one.

Obtaining the approval of the immigration authorities can be challenging. Thus, it is crucial to create your immigration business plan strategically. To do it, adhere to the following best practices

Creating a good immigration business plan may take a few weeks. Thus, it is crucial to start doing it as soon as you can. Also, the immigration authorities may require you to submit additional information. By submitting your proposal ahead of time, you will have more time to take further requests from them. Creating a  timeline  may help you budget your time effectively.

As we have mentioned earlier, your business plan is your only chance to communicate with the immigration authorities about your business. Thus, you have to ensure that you are doing it correctly. However, creating this type of document can be tough. Therefore, it is essential to ask for help if necessary, to make sure that you will get the approval to operate your business in the preferred foreign country. Hiring a third party, such as the JDC consultancy, to assist you with the process, can be a great move as well. By employing a third party company’s assistance, you can save your time and effort since they know the ins and outs of the immigration process. Additionally, they can also help you increase your chance of getting approved.

Due to the numerous items that the authorities require, there are possibilities that you will unintentionally miss out on a process or a document that you have to comply with. As a result, they will delay the process so that you can submit the missing materials. The problem is the entire approval process takes time, and missing a document will unnecessarily extend the time requires to accomplish this process. Thus, it is vital to ensure that you have all the items that they need before submitting it. Creating a  checklist  may help you prevent these misses.

Your goal of creating an immigration plan is to convince the immigration authorities to allow you to operate in a particular foreign country. However, if you confuse them or if they do not understand your business plan, you will lose the chance of getting approved. Thus, it is essential to make it clear and concise. Take time to organize and double-check your work. Be conscious of the grammar and spelling of the contents of your proposal.

Now that you reached the end part of this article, you should have learned the essential points in creating an immigration business plan. However, you should know that getting approved to operate your business to another country is just a step to get a chance of extending your market. In  starting a business overseas , you still need to win the trust of the people in that country by conversing with the locals and understanding their culture. You may also have to learn the ins and outs of that specific country pertaining to your business operation.

What does a business plan for immigration look like?

Immigration Business Plan

You must produce a business plan if you apply for a new office L-1 Visa or an E-2 Visa for a new business. A business plan for immigration differs from a traditional one, which is obtaining funding from a bank or other business purposes. When applying for a new office L-1 Visa or E-2 visa for a new investment, make sure your business plan is immigration compliant. We discuss the basic requirements of a business plan for immigration purposes here.

What does a business plan for immigration purposes look like?

Business plans for immigration purposes must contain specific details to meet visa requirements. This is especially important for business plans supporting new office L-1 and E-2 visa applications based on a new business. The necessary factors for an immigration business plan can be found in the Board of Immigration Appeals decision, Matter of Ho – Business Plan,   9 FAM 4029 TREATY TRADERS INVESTORS AND SPECIALTY OCCUPATIONS – E VISAS. , and 9 FAM 40212 U INTRACOMPANY TRANSFEREES – L VISAS . Accordingly, the following should be included in a proper immigration business plan:

  • Business Overview – The immigration officer reviewing the business must be able to understand the business venture. This is a very important factor. If the immigration officer is not able to grasp the concept of your business and the likelihood of success,  they could deny your application. Explain in detail what service or product your business provides.
  • Proof of Investment or Financial Commitment – Your immigration business plan should detail the investment made or your financial commitment to the success of the US enterprise. In general, the plan should include the source of the funds invested and financial commitment to guarantee the successful operations of the US enterprise. Depending on the visa type, this should include an estimate of your company’s income in the next three to five years.
  • Business Requirements – Your immigration business plan should explain how you have or will meet all necessary requirements to do business in the United States. This means you have secured or will secure all necessary business licensing and/or permits for your business to operate.
  • Employment Outlook – One of the main requirements for either the L1 or E2 visa is the present or future capacity of the US enterprise to hire US workers. Your immigration business plan should provide a detailed hiring plan. This includes a projected organizational structure, present and future positions to be filled with detailed job descriptions, and wages to be paid. Depending on the visa type, projects should look out for three to five years.
  • Sufficient Physical Premises – Depending on your business type, your immigration business plan must demonstrate that sufficient physical premises have been secured in the United States to support the successful operations of the US enterprise. This could be a small 200-square-foot office for a consulting firm or a 50,000-square-foot facility for a manufacturing company.
  • Market Analysis and Strategy – One of the factors of an L1 or E2 visa is the present or future capacity for success in the marketplace. A properly formatted immigration business plan will include an in-depth market analysis that includes a future outlook for the industry, competitive analysis, financial outlook, growth projections, etc. This includes a description of your target market, business already being performed, current contracts, and future contracts.  In addition, your immigration business plan must include a detailed overview of your marketing strategy with the marketing mediums you expect to use along with any supporting marketing materials.
  • Ability to Develop and Direct the Enterprise – Your immigration business plan must demonstrate your ability to develop and direct the new enterprise in the United States. This explanation should include any relevant education, experience, and background that positions you to successfully develop and direct the enterprise.

Unless you are experienced with immigration-specific business plans, you should seek the support of a qualified immigration business plan company. There are many companies out there that provide immigration-specific business plans. When handling your L-1 new office or E-2 investment case, we work with experienced immigration business plan writers. Failure to provide a properly executed business plan supporting your immigration application could often result in a denial.

Immigration and Investor Visa Business Plan Consulting

Home » Services » Immigration and Investor Visa Business Plan Preparation

As U.S. immigration lawyers will tell you, one of the most important documents needed when applying for a business or employment-related visa is a comprehensive business plan. The business plan is so critical because it documents that the business you wish to acquire or launch or for which you will become a senior executive is sustainable. It supports the fact that the applicant will be able to “stimulate the U.S. economy through job creation and capital investment” according to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS), the government agency that oversees lawful immigration to the United States.

In many instances, for those applying for a business or employment related visa, the terminology is foreign, the process is complicated, and the application is nearly impossible without the assistance of an attorney who specializes in immigration applications and Cayenne Consulting for assistance with the business plan requirement aspect of the application. Information on U.S. immigrant visas can be found on the USCIS website as well as the website for the American Immigration Lawyers Association and immihelp.com .

Which Visa Programs Require Business Plans?

Currently, business plans are required for the following types of visas: E-2 Investor visa, EB-5 visa, L-1 visa, and E-1 visa. Each visa is described below in summary:

  • The E-1 Treaty Trader Visa is a non-immigrant visa that allows foreign nationals of a treaty nation to enter the U.S. and carry out substantial trade. A treaty trader belongs to a nation that maintains a treaty of commerce and navigation or a bilateral agreement with the U.S. Learn more about our E-1 Treaty Trader Visa Business Plan Services
  • The E-2 Investor Visa allows an individual to enter and work inside of the United States based on an investment he or she will be controlling, while inside the United States. This visa must be renewed every other year, but there is no limit to how many times one can renew. The investment must be substantial. An investor must contribute to the US economy. Investor visas are available only to treaty nations. Learn more about our E-2 Investor Visa Business Plan Services
  • The EB-5 Visa for Immigrant Investors is a United States visa created by the Immigration Act of 1990. This visa provides a method of obtaining a green card for foreign nationals who invest money in the United States. To obtain the visa, individuals must invest $1,050,000 (or at least $800,000 in a “Targeted Employment Area” – high unemployment or rural area), creating or preserving at least 10 jobs for U.S. workers excluding the investor and their immediate family. Learn more about our EB-5 Investor Visa Business Plan Services
  • An L-1 Visa is a visa document used to enter the United States for the purpose of work in L-1 status. It is a non-immigrant visa and is valid for a relatively short amount of time, generally three years. L-1 visas are available to employees of an international company with offices in both the United States and abroad. The visa allows such foreign workers to relocate to the corporation’s US office after having worked abroad for the company for at least one year prior to being granted L-1 status. The US office must be a parent company, a child company, or a sister company of a foreign company. Learn more about our L-1A Intracompany Transferee Business Plan Services

Business Plan Requirements for Visa Applications

The business plan that is made a part of the visa application must demonstrate that the applicant has the requisite skills, talent, background, experience, and resources to successfully start and grow a business that provides real products and services and employs American workers. The business plan must be of the same quality and content as a business plan that is prepared for a commercial bank or a sophisticated investor. In short, it must be as professional as you intend for the business to be. Make no mistake, it must represent the applicant.

The business plan will more than likely be 15-20 pages in length and include informative charts, tables, images and graphs that will aid in giving the reader a better understanding of the business. At a minimum, the document must include:

  • Executive summary
  • Company description
  • Description of the company’s products and/or services
  • Market and industry analysis
  • Competitive analysis
  • Marketing and sales plan
  • Management structure, organization, and business ownership
  • A financial discussion that includes a 3-5 year financial forecast

Important Business Planning Tips for Visa Applicants

Here are some business plan tips for applicants:

  • Do not wait until the last minute. To be safe, allow 2-3 weeks to get this done right.
  • Do not attempt to do this yourself. This document requires a professional.
  • Remember that the business plan and the rest of the application must be consistent with each other.
  • Not only must the plan be written in English, it must be written in “Business English.”

Every U.S. Visa applicant will enhance their chances of success by allowing plenty of time, getting help from a specialist attorney who will put the applicant’s interests first and, if applying for a business related visa, develop a first class business plan that will distinguish the applicant as a capable, successful business person.

How to Start an Immigration Consulting Business

By: Author Tony Martins Ajaero

Home » Business ideas » Hospitality, Travel & Tourism

Do you want to start an immigration consulting business? If YES, here is a detailed guide on how to start an immigration consulting business with NO money and no experience plus a sample immigration consulting business plan template.

If you are a lawyer or someone who has background in immigration matters, and you intend starting your business, then you should consider starting your own immigration consulting firm. There are many migrants who are trapped because they don’t know who to talk to when they have challenges with immigration issues, that is why it is important to set up your own immigration agency.

Being an immigration consultant or attorney means that you will help your clients handle all their immigration concerns, you will help defend your clients who have deportation cases with the government, you can also help them obtain work permits in their new country of residence; you can help then start a business, and solve any other immigration related issues.

Writing the Company Description of Immigration Business Plan

  • Ismael Fernández
  • January 9, 2018

The business description section of your business plan should give the reader an overview of your proposed business, including the industry, purpose, operations, staffing, history and other information that will provide the agency with an interesting overview of your business.

In this section, the reader needs to get a handle of your business concept, model and likelihood of success.

Since your business plan is for immigration purposes, consider the perspective of immigration officers. They won’t know your team, facilities, or legal structure yet—you want to fill in the blanks for them in a polished and organized way. Company description will be the ‘elevator pitch’ section of your business plan.  So present your company like it is well poised to accept their visa approval and hit the ground running. This section should answer the questions who you are, what you do and why you do it. Make sure that it is short as possible as the other portions of the plan will contain the nitty gritty details of your proposal. You can use this portion to point the immigration to the relevant sections, if they are interested to know more about a particular aspect of your business.

Here are the details that MUST be included in this section:

  • Company name  – What is the name of your business as registered in the official documents?
  • Business structure  – Sole proprietorship, LLC, partnership or corporation? Your business structure is going to be important data to include. Who owns what percentage of your business? The immigration and investors will want this information to be clearly spelled out.
  • Ownership/ Management  – Since you are presenting to the immigration or to investors, this is critical data. Who are the leaders in your company?Who will own and manage the business in the U.S.? What qualifies them for their positions and inspires confidence? Work experience, past successes, MBAs, and other degrees can be referenced for each person. You want to showcase everyone in their best light, remembering that the immigration and investors judge people first and ideas second.
  • Location  – Where is the company headquartered? Discuss the circumstances of your use of any space mentioned in this section. Include whether you own or lease, and what the pertinent terms of that lease are if you have one. Discuss what the long-term plan is for any space you have, or what your needs will be for a future facility. If you have a home office, you can include that here as well.
  • Company history  – When was the business started, what was the inspiration behind it, what need does your company fulfill? If you are an existing business seeking funding for expansion or a new project, the company history section is going to be pretty significant. You’ll want to show  that you have a strong track record of successful projects, weathering the tough times, and making sound business decisions. Who did you decide to partner with? Have you launched new products over time? Made improvements on facilities or services? Streamlined operations? If your business is a start up, you won’t have a company history per se, but you could use the company history section to give a concise description of how you decided to start your venture. What was the “light bulb” moment? Who else was involved?
  • Mission Statement – What is the purpose of your company? Your mission statement should reflect every facet of your business: the range and nature of the products you offer, pricing, quality, service, marketplace position, growth potential, use of technology, and your relationships with your customers, employees, suppliers, competitors and the community.
  • Products / services and Target Market  – What do you sell? To whom are you selling it to? You may overlook some fundamental elements when describing your products and services because it’s so common to you but do remember,  you should be the expert in the industry.  The basics may not be as clear to the immigration or to your potential investor. Assume they have little to no understanding of your industry and product or service.
  • Competitive Advantages  – This section should describe the logic of why you will succeed, how you differ, or what you are doing better than the competition. To define the competitive advantage, try to answer why people will want to do business with you.
  • Objectives  – This is not to be confused with the company’s mission, vision or values, which are not useful as strategic goals. Your objective must be specific, measurable and time bound. It must also be a single goal (that is, growth or profitability), although subordinate goals may follow from the strategic objective. To formulate your objective, show the immigration or the investors your plans in the immediate future.
  • Vision statement  – How do you envision the future of the company? It’s also a good opportunity, if you haven’t done so already, to evaluate and put to in your business plan some of the more intangible facets of your business principles, ideals, and cultural philosophies that will allow the immigration and investors to better grasp your own corporate identity.

The whole point of submitting an immigration-compliant business plan is to convince the office that your venture will be beneficial for the economy of a particular U.S. location. Take this opportunity to “sell” your business to these US authorities. Don’t be afraid to share your enthusiasm. Excitement usually draws the reader in, but be careful not to get too carried away. Make them look forward to reading the rest of the plan.

Writing style is as important as content. Make sure to have someone (preferably, a professional editor) proofread your business plan. Allot time to read and re-read your document. Take out redundant and duplicate information. Watch out for grammatical errors & typos. A professional tone should be used all-throughout but it should not hinder you in conveying your passion for your business. Generally speaking, these last few tips apply beyond the company description section of your plan.

To sum up, make sure the person reading the company description will be able to get what you’re company is all about. Let your business plan present you and your business in the best light. Show the immigration officer why you’re worth the business investor visa.

If you feel overwhelmed at any stage of your business plan-writing, we encourage you to take advantage of our  FREE, non-obligatory consultation . We are experts in the Immigration Business Plan industry. We have written numerous successful business plans specifically for those targeted toward immigrant investment visa applications.

How to Prevent a Business Disaster

It's not a matter of *IF* ... it's only a matter of *WHEN* you and your business will be affected by a natural or manmade disaster. Chances are greater today than ever before your normal business operations will be interrupted by an equipment failure, operator error, power outage or other calamity or disaster. Planning and preparation BEFORE disaster strikes is the best way to ensure your business will survive! Here are ten steps you can take to protect your business:

1. Create a virtual disaster team within your company.

A virtual disaster team is the best way to gather information and perspective which is essential in preparing an effective disaster prevention and recovery plan. Proper disaster planning requires information from all perspectives of your company as well as outside sources. Sole proprietors, coaches, and consultants should seek help from friends and associates in viewing their business operations from all perspectives.

2. Conduct a complete asset inventory.

Be sure to include all equipment, furnishings, supplies and inventory. Then augment your written inventory with still photos and/or videotape of all areas.

3. Protect your equipment.

Move mission-critical equipment away from doors and windows where they can be damaged by debris, wind or water during a storm. Protect major industrial or production equipment, office machines, computers, peripherals and accessories from dust, dirt, debris, moisture and power fluctuations. Install surge suppressors and uninterruptible power sources. Use equipment covers to protect from water leaks from overhead pipes and facilities. And move equipment, documents, supplies and inventory out of basements and other areas of your facility subject to flooding.

4. Protect your vital records.

Identify records that are vital to your business operation. Store copies of these records off-site. Implement a records management program and standard office procedures for handling electronic files and paper documents. Establish and enforce a computer data backup system.

5. Establish off-site storage and alternate location policies.

Develop a policy for storing original documents, vital records and critical electronic files off-site. Establish an alternate or emergency location from which you can perform the critical functions of your business should you be unable to access your business facility. If you have others on your staff, make sure they understand these policies and their individual responsibilities during and after a disaster situation.

6. Develop, test and revise your disaster plan.

Once you have developed what appears to be a good plan for limiting the effects of a disaster or business interruption, you must test the plan to ensure it meets your needs and expectations. Keep accurate and detailed notes through all phases of plan testing. Revise your plan based on your test results and notes; then test your revised plan.

7. Seek legal counsel on contracts and agreements.

Entering into any type of agreement, contract, lease, proposal or signing any document you have not read or you do not fully understand is an open invitation to business disaster. Don't try to "Go it alone!"

8. Review insurance needs and documents.

Meet with your insurance agent, consultant or advisor and determine your insurance needs. Go over your policy statements and make sure you understand types of coverage, coverage limits, exclusions and deductible amounts.

9. Prepare yourself and your staff for business interruptions and disasters.

Large or small... natural or manmade... whether it strikes you directly or a business you depend on... you should be prepared BEFORE a disaster or business interruption occurs. Your business disaster plan will not be effective unless you know and understand your needs and responsibilities when a disaster or business interruption affects your business. Arrange first aid and CPR classes through local emergency officials. Develop and maintain off-site. storage policies, office operating procedures and computer backup schedules and procedures. When you read about a disaster affecting other businesses, review your disaster plan and make sure it covers such an event.

10. Prepare your workplace for disaster.

Collect and remove trash, rubbish and debris inside and outside your facility. Clean your roof, gutters, downspouts and drainage ditches. Perform a physical inspection of your business and look for potential security, fire and electrical wiring hazards. Develop an orderly evacuation procedure which takes into account any persons with disabilities. Also establish a primary and a secondary evacuation route from your facility.

Is This the Time to Make a Radical Change in Your Business?

Certain business realities signal us that we should make a change if we are to survive. Herewith, a list of some of those signals.

1. You find more and more competitors in your market. An indication that it's a good market, but being fractioned. Unless what you offer is both different and better, look for another niche.

2. Your market disappears. OK, you make the world's best buggy whips! Wake up.

3. Your interests and values are out of sync with your business. A formula for business disaster and personal misery. Revisit your vision and mission--and align them with your values. Now start again.

4. Your customers are leaving for your competition. Either figure out why and fix it or find another business.

5. You dread going to work in the morning. Figure out why. If it can't be changed, do something else.

6. You notice your competitors changing. Have you noticed that, like it or not, it's a race? Do what it takes to win or join another race.

7. Working on the business is taking more time than working in the business. If your revenue can't support more help, find a way to simplify and streamline your business (your competitors probably are).

8. You're losing key employees to your competitors. A sure sign of "trouble in River City!" Conduct "exit interviews" with departing employees--figure out what the competition's got that you don't.

9. Your business no longer supports your lifestyle. Well, change either one or the other until they're in sync.

10. You're neither learning nor having fun anymore. Certain death if you stick it out. Time for a fresh start.

Why do some Business managers hit the profit goal more frequently than others? They do it because they keep their performance pointed in that direction - management of profit earning. They never lose sight of the goal - to finish the year with a gain. This manual Gives suggestions that should enable an owner-manager to zero in on profit earning. It points out that you must keep informed, make timely decisions, and take effective action. In effect you must control the actions of your organization rather than being controlled by them. Topnotch Functionality in golf, shootingfishing demands understanding, practice, and perseverance. Similarly, in Small businesses, year-end profit comes to the owner-manager who strives for topnotch performance. You achieve profit making goals by understanding your performance, by practicing the craft of earning timely, balanced judgments and by controlling the company's actions. Adapt the Suggestions in this guide to your situation. They ought to allow you to predict the shots to keep your company headed in the ideal direction - toward profit earning. First Rule of Profit Making: Know Your Business. The Time-honored truth"Knowledge is power" is particularly pertinent to this owner-manager of a small business. To maintain your company pointed toward gain you need to keep yourself well informed about it. You have to know how the company is doing before you may improve its operation. You have to understand its weak points until you can correct them. A number of the information you require you pick up from daily personal observation, but documents should be your main source of information about profits, expenses, and earnings. Know Your Profit. The profit and loss statement (or income Announcement ) prepared regularly each month or every quarter by your accountant is among the most vital indicators of your business's value and wellbeing. You need to be certain that this announcement contains all of the details you need for evaluating your gain. This statement must pinpoint each revenue and price area. By way of example, it should demonstrate the profit and loss for all your products and product lines as well as the gain and loss for your whole operation. It is a good Thought to have your own profit and loss statement prepared that it shows every single item for the current interval, for the identical period this past year, and for the current year-to-date. By way of example, a P&L statement for the month of November would show income and expenses for the current month, for November last year, and prices for the eleven months of this current year. Many corporations publish their annual reports with a few previous decades so stockholders can compare earnings. Comparison is The trick to using your P&L announcement. If your accountant isn't already supplying figures that you can compare, you need to discuss the possibility of having them provided. Financial Ratios out of the balance sheet also allow you to understand if your gain is exactly what it ought to be. As an example, the proportion of net worth (return on investment ratio) shows what the business brought on the equity capital invested. Know Your Costs. An owner-manager ought to understand costs in detail. Then, you can compare your price figures as a percentage of sales (operating ratio). Be sure your prices are itemized so that you can put your fingers on those that appear to be climbing or decreasing according to your expertise and the cost figures of your own industry. When prices are itemized, you can spot the culprit once the general figure is greater than what you had budgeted. Take advertising costs such as. You can catch the offender should you split out your advertising expenditures by product lines and by media. In addition, a thorough check of question yields from advertising will help avoid unsuccessful publications. In understanding your Costs, remember that the formula for gain is: Gain equals Sales minus Costs. Know Your Product Markup. Be certain The pricing of your goods provides a markup adequate for the kind of profit you expect to achieve. You must keep constantly informed on pricing since you need to adjust for rising costs and at the same time keep prices competitive. Knowledge about your markup also can help you to run workouts with your eyes open. Continuing to generate something which only a few customers desire is a powerful merchandising tool just once you use it on goal - for instance, to hold or attract buyers to other high markup products. Do not hesitate to shed a loser from your line. Garbage-In, Garbage-Out. An Owner-manager shouldn't fudge the records. The acronym GIGO the computer business uses is true with manually kept records in addition to with machine-processed ones. If an owner-manager lets"garbage" to enter the records, the reports will include"garbage." Reports need not be extensive but they need to be accurate. Search For Trends. Try not to look at one month's sales or Profit image alone. The characters on your operating statements are meaningful only when you put the image in the right frame - which is, take a look in the figures from the context of what has happened and what is likely to happen. In that manner, you catch a downward trend before it gets out of hand. You should also Concern yourself with the figures behind the bucks - for instance, the amount Of units sold or the number of orders. Insist on cost-per-unit figures. The Fluctuation of the cost-per-unit can be more meaningful than simply looking At the dollar figures . Another idea would be to exhibit these comparative Figures on charts so that important trends can be seen easily.

Immigration Business Plan Sample – Is It A Viable Alternative To An Expert?

Immigration business plan sample examples are available across the internet and their availability may make you think that they are a viable and cheaper alternative to hiring an expert. However, will a sample plan really save you time and money, and get you the results you need?

The short answer to this when trying to complete a  L1 business plan  is no, it will not. The sample may be cheap or even free, but it doesn’t give you the depth of information and expertise that you need to put together a successful  immigration business plan .  A sample plan will show you what information another business has included in order to complete their visa application. However, it will not necessarily tell you whether that application was successful or how long it took them to put it together. In addition to this, the sample will not explain how to find and collate all the necessary information needed by your specific business. This does not mean that they have no use at all. A sample is a good place to start if you are in the early stages of deciding whether you should apply for a L1 visa.  A good sample will also give an indication of just how much work is involved in creating the plan. You can also source a range of samples in order to gauge the responses of the  companies  you approach to complete your business plan. However, it is only part of the answer. To increase your chances of success, you need to be able to communicate with a company that has experience and can get you through the entire process from beginning to end.

Boost your chances of a successful application with Immigration Business Plan. We can provide the personalized service that is missing from relying on an immigration business plan sample. To find out more, and start your visa application process, use our contact page at  https://www.immigrationbusinessplan.com/ .
