write an essay on global warming in 150 words

Global warming means the Earth is getting hotter. This happens because of things like pollution from cars and factories. These pollutants are called greenhouse gases, and they make the Earth's air trap more heat from the sun. One major greenhouse gas is carbon dioxide, which comes from burning fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas. When trees are cut down and forests disappear, that's bad too, because trees help clean the air.

Because of global warming, some big problems are happening. Ice at the North and South Poles is melting, which causes the sea levels to rise. When the sea level goes up, it can flood coastal areas, making it hard for people to live there. Also, the Earth's weather is getting crazy. There are more hurricanes, droughts, and floods. These extreme weather events can be dangerous and damage homes and farms.

But don't worry! People all over the world are working to stop global warming. They use clean and renewable energy sources like the sun and wind instead of burning fossil fuels. They also make agreements like the Paris Agreement and the Kyoto Protocol to help reduce pollution. These agreements are like promises between countries to protect the planet.

Understanding global warming is important because it harms the environment and makes life harder for everyone. We need to take care of our planet by using clean energy and protecting forests. It's like being a good friend to the Earth. So, let's all work together to keep the Earth cool and safe for the future.

Global warming is a big problem for our planet, and it's getting worse every day. It's like a threat that's making life harder on Earth.

To fix global warming, we first need to understand what's causing it. One of the main reasons is the extra carbon dioxide (CO2) in the air. This comes from things like cutting down trees and using coal, oil, and gas for energy. It's also from burning gasoline in cars. All of this makes the Earth's temperature rise.

When the Earth gets hotter, it causes problems like rising sea levels, floods, storms, and even more diseases. It's a big issue, and it affects all of us. We can't blame just one person or country for this. Everyone is a part of the problem, so we all need to work together to solve it.

We need to be aware of global warming and do our best to stop it. This means using cleaner energy sources and being more careful with our planet. It's a team effort, and if we all pitch in, we can make a difference and make the Earth a better place to live.

Essay on Global Warming 4 (250 words)

Global warming is a serious and ongoing increase in the Earth's temperature. It's a huge problem worldwide and is mainly caused by the rise in carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases in our atmosphere. If we don't take immediate action as a global community, it could lead to catastrophic consequences, even threatening life on Earth.

The effects of global warming are becoming more dangerous every day. It's responsible for rising sea levels, floods, erratic weather patterns, storms, epidemics, food shortages, and loss of life. To combat this issue, we need to raise awareness at the individual level. People must understand what global warming is, what causes it, and the harm it brings. By making people worldwide aware, we can work together to restore the Earth's natural balance and ensure life can continue as usual.

To address global warming, we should reduce our carbon dioxide emissions. This means using less oil, coal, and gas, protecting trees (as they absorb carbon dioxide and provide oxygen), and using electricity more wisely. Small changes in our daily lives, practiced worldwide, can make a big difference in lessening the impact of global warming and ultimately stopping it. Everyone needs to take responsibility and contribute to a safer, healthier planet for current and future generations.

Essay on Global Warming 5 (300 words)

Global warming is the gradual heating of the Earth's surface due to an increase in carbon dioxide gas in the environment. It's a major issue that requires worldwide action. As the Earth's temperature steadily rises, it poses various threats and disrupts the balance of nature. This temperature rise brings about lasting changes in our climate, affecting the environment.

The increase in carbon dioxide (CO2) levels has far-reaching consequences. It leads to heatwaves, sudden and powerful storms, unpredictable cyclones, damage to the ozone layer, floods, heavy rainfall, droughts, food shortages, diseases, and even loss of life. This problem is largely driven by the continuous burning of fossil fuels, the use of fertilizers, deforestation, excessive electricity consumption, and certain gases used in refrigeration. If we don't take action to control CO2 emissions, the harmful effects of global warming are predicted to worsen by 2020.

The increased CO2 levels cause a phenomenon known as the greenhouse effect. Greenhouse gases like water vapor, CO2, methane, and ozone absorb heat energy, which is then radiated in all directions, including back toward the Earth's surface. This results in the Earth's surface warming up, contributing to global warming.

To combat the life-threatening effects of global warming, we must change our habits. We need to stop activities that increase CO2 and other greenhouse gases, leading to the greenhouse effect and global warming. This includes ending deforestation, reducing electricity consumption, and halting the burning of wood and other fossil fuels. These are critical steps to ensure a healthier and safer planet for ourselves and future generations. By working together and making these changes, we can address the global warming crisis and protect our world.

Essay on Global Warming 6 (500 words)

Global warming is an enormous environmental problem that we must address urgently and permanently. It refers to the continuous and gradual increase in the Earth's surface temperature. This issue requires global cooperation and discussion to mitigate its effects, as it has already disrupted the delicate balance of nature, impacted biodiversity, and significantly altered our planet's climate over several decades.

The primary culprits behind global warming are greenhouse gases, particularly carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane. These gases trap heat in the Earth's atmosphere, causing a rise in temperatures. This, in turn, leads to rising sea levels, melting ice caps and glaciers, and unpredictable climate changes, all of which pose serious threats to life on our planet. The demand for an improved standard of living has driven an increase in atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations, especially since the mid-20th century.

Statistical data reveal alarming trends, with years like 1983, 1987, 1988, 1989, and 1991 being recorded as the warmest six years of the past century. Such an increase in global warming has led to unforeseen natural disasters, including floods, cyclones, tsunamis, droughts, landslides, ice melting, food shortages, epidemic diseases, and even loss of life. These events disrupt the natural balance of our planet and signal a potential threat to life as we know it.

The global warming process intensifies as more water evaporates from the Earth's surface into the atmosphere. This excess water vapor further contributes to the greenhouse effect, causing temperatures to rise. Additionally, human activities such as the burning of fossil fuels, the use of fertilizers, and the emission of gases like chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), tropospheric ozone, and nitrous oxide are also responsible for global warming.

The root causes of these problems can be traced back to technological advancements, population growth, an increasing demand for industrial expansion, deforestation, and the prioritization of urbanization. As our population continues to grow, we consume more resources, leading to higher emissions of greenhouse gases and a depletion of the Earth's natural resources.

To address global warming and its devastating effects, we must take immediate and collective action. The time for inaction has long passed. We must prioritize sustainability, renewable energy sources, afforestation, and reforestation to reduce CO2 levels and mitigate the impact of global warming. Additionally, responsible and conscious consumption, efficient energy use, and reducing waste are critical steps in the fight against this crisis.

Education and awareness are also key. People need to understand the causes and consequences of global warming, prompting a change in behavior and the adoption of more environmentally friendly practices. Governments, businesses, and individuals must work together to protect our planet and secure a sustainable future for generations to come. The solution to global warming requires a global commitment to change our way of life and preserve the Earth for future generations.

Global Warming Essay in English (Causes and Solutions) - 100, 200, 500 Words

An increase in the Earth's average global temperature is known as global warming. Global warming is mostly caused by burning more fossil fuels and the emission of hazardous pollutants into the atmosphere. Living things can suffer greatly as a result of global warming. The temperature suddenly rises in some places, while in others, it suddenly drops. The use of fossil fuels for energy is the main cause of global warming. It has been noticed that over the last ten years, the Earth's average temperature has risen by 1.5 degrees Celsius. This is cause for concern because it can harm ecosystems and lead to environmental disturbance. If we take decisive action to replace the destroyed vegetation in our forests, we can stop global warming. To slow the rate of global warming, we can also use sustainable energy sources like sun, wind, and tidal energy.

Over time, the cumulative increase in Earth's average global temperatures is referred to as global warming. It has been said that large-scale deforestation by humans for various reasons is to blame. Every year, we use a lot of fuel. It is becoming impossible to meet people's fuel needs as the human population has increased. Natural resources must be used carefully as they are limited. The ecosystem will become unbalanced if humans overuse mineral wealth like forests and waterways. Temperature increases alone are not the only sign of global warming. It also has other consequences.

Natural disasters, including storms, floods, and avalanches , are happening all over the planet. These all have a direct connection to global warming. To protect our environment we must rebuild our ecology to defend it against the negative effects of global warming. To make this globe a nicer place for the generations to come, who also appreciate this Earth in the same way we do, we must all work together. Planting trees is the fundamental action we can do to improve the condition of our world as a whole. Our main objective should be reforestation. If we commit to growing as many plants as we can during our lifetimes, the Earth will become a better place.

The gradual increase in surface climate caused by various factors is known as global warming. It poses serious risks to both the environment and humanity. Climate change effects include global warming . The main contributor to global warming is the unavoidable release of greenhouse gases. Methane and carbon dioxide are two of the main greenhouse gases. There are numerous other causes and ramifications of this warming, which endangers Earth's life.

Reasons Responsible For Global Warming

The causes of global warming are several. These problems are caused by both nature and humanity. Because of the presence of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere , the heat rays that the Earth's surface reflects become trapped there. The "greenhouse effect" is what results from this phenomenon. It is necessary to keep our world from turning into a frozen ball. Global warming results from too much carbon dioxide trapping all the heat from the Earth's surface. The primary gases that cause global warming are referred to as greenhouse gases.

The main greenhouse gases are methane, nitrous oxide, ozone, and carbon dioxide . These gases cause global warming when their concentrations are out of balance. Volcanic eruptions, solar radiation, and other natural occurrences are a few examples that contribute to global warming. People's excessive use of cars and fossil fuels also raises carbon dioxide levels. Among the most prevalent and quickly spreading issues causing global warming is deforestation. The level of carbon dioxide in the air is rising because trees are being cut down. Additional reasons contributing to global warming include the expanding population, industrialisation, pollution, etc.

How Climate Change Impacts Us

Numerous variations in the weather are brought on by global warming, including lengthier summers and fewer winters, greater temperatures, modifications to the trade winds, rain that falls throughout the year, melting polar ice caps, a weaker ozone barrier, etc. Additionally, it may result in a rise in natural disasters, including severe storms, cyclones, floods, and many others. Plants, animals, and other environmental elements are directly impacted by the harm produced by global warming. The rising sea level, swift glacier melting, and other effects of global warming are significant. As global warming worsens, marine life is negatively impacted, significantly destroying marine life and causing additional issues.

Preventing Global Warming

Finding the proper solution is crucial now more than ever since global warming has become a serious issue and is being discussed globally at international forums and conferences. It is time that the age of industrialization to be controlled and continued in a sustainable manner. Everybody, from communities to governments, needs to work together to solve the issue of global warming. Controlling pollution, population growth, and the limiting exploitation of natural resources are a few factors to consider. Using public transportation or carpooling with others will be very helpful. Therefore, recycling should also be promoted to individuals.

There are clear signs that the increase in global warming will wipe out all life on the surface of the world. Global warming is the greatest threat to humanity and cannot be disregarded. Additionally, it is difficult to manage. By participating and responding, we can help lessen its effects.

Essay On Global Warming in 300 Words

Global warming is a phenomenon where the earth’s average temperature rises due to increased amounts of greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane and ozone trap the incoming radiation from the sun. This effect creates a natural “blanket”, which prevents the heat from escaping back into the atmosphere. This effect is called the greenhouse effect.

Contrary to popular belief, greenhouse gases are not inherently bad. In fact, the greenhouse effect is quite important for life on earth. Without this effect, the sun’s radiation would be reflected back into the atmosphere, freezing the surface and making life impossible. However, when greenhouse gases in excess amounts get trapped, serious repercussions begin to appear. The polar ice caps begin to melt, leading to a rise in sea levels. Furthermore, the greenhouse effect is accelerated when polar ice caps and sea ice melts. This is due to the fact the ice reflects 50% to 70% of the sun’s rays back into space, but without ice, the solar radiation gets absorbed. Seawater reflects only 6% of the sun’s radiation back into space. What’s more frightening is the fact that the poles contain large amounts of carbon dioxide trapped within the ice. If this ice melts, it will significantly contribute to global warming.

A related scenario when this phenomenon goes out of control is the runaway-greenhouse effect. This scenario is essentially similar to an apocalypse, but it is all too real. Though this has never happened in the earth’s entire history, it is speculated to have occurred on Venus. Millions of years ago, Venus was thought to have an atmosphere similar to that of the earth. But due to the runaway greenhouse effect, surface temperatures around the planet began rising.

If this occurs on the earth, the runaway greenhouse effect will lead to many unpleasant scenarios – temperatures will rise hot enough for oceans to evaporate. Once the oceans evaporate, the rocks will start to sublimate under heat. In order to prevent such a scenario, proper measures have to be taken to stop climate change.

Paragraph on Global Warming: 100 Words

The globe is getting warmer. This is neither fancy nor any fantasy, but a hard reality. Science shows how the temperature of this earth is regularly increasing. Global warming means an increase in the temperature of the earth. This increase is, no doubt, slow but steady, too.

Finally, it is alarming. The present rate of increase is 3 ° Celsius. But if this goes up to 7 ° Celsius, the effect will be dreadful.  The cause of this warming is the reckless destruction of the natural environment. This is to be stopped to have a remedy against the growing danger of this global warming.

Word meanings:

  • Dreadful – extremely bad, unpleasant
  • Reckless –  lack of proper caution, careless

Paragraph on Global Warming: 150 Words

One of the biggest challenges that the environment is facing today is global warming. It is a natural phenomenon where the average temperature increases beyond the permissible limit. A warmer and earth disrupts the balance of the ecosystem and causes a negative impact on Nature. Frequent floods, droughts, heatwaves and storms take place.

It is caused by the greenhouse effect which is the consequence of the accumulation of gases like carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide. These harmful gases cover the earth’s atmosphere like a blanket and prevent radiation of the sun rays. This trapped heat increases the temperature of the environment. Afforestation should be encouraged to prevent the rise of global warming. Solar and wind energy should also be used to protect the earth.

Word Meanings:

  • Phenomenon –  fact or event
  • Permissible – that can be permitted; allowable
  • Consequence – the effect, result, or outcome
  • Afforestation – establishment of a forest

Global Warming Paragraph in English

Global Warming Paragraph: 200 Words

Global warming, meaning increase in the average temperature of the earth’s atmosphere and oceans, is one of the most serious challenges facing us today. A warmer earth may lead to changes in rainfall patterns, a rise in sea level owing to melting of glaciers, and a wide range of impacts on plants, wildlife, and humans. Frequent floods, droughts, heatwaves, hurricanes and tornadoes may upset the balance of the ecosystem. Crops and food supply may also be affected.

Global warming is caused by a phenomenon known as the greenhouse effect that is brought about by the accumulation of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide released in the atmosphere during the burning of fossil fuels like coal, oil, garbage, etc. These gases, wrapped around the planet earth, permit the sunrays in, but stop some of the heat from radiating back to space. This trapped heat in the earth’s atmosphere is the major cause of global warming.

To mitigate this problem, environmental pollution should be prevented at any cost. Planting of trees that absorb carbon dioxide from the air should be encouraged. Besides, alternative sources of energy like solar energy, wind energy, etc. should also be tapped.

  • Accumulation – gathering of something
  • Wrapped –  to cover or surround something
  • To mitigate – to make something less severe or painful

Essay on Global Warming: 250 Words

The problem of Global warming, of late, has become a matter of grave concern. Our dear planet is getting warmer day by day. Never before the earth has been so warm as it has been at present. The main cause of global warming is the excessive release of greenhouse gases due to human activities. Greenhouse gases such as methane, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide and water vapour trap heat from the sun and warm the planet. Rapid industrialization, consumption of fossil fuel for transport and cooking, thoughtless destruction of forests at large scale are at the root of this serious problem.

Due to global warming, the Earth’s average surface temperature increased by approximately 0.6°C during the 20th century. The mass of ice in the north and south pole has started melting. The source of the water of Ganges, the Gangotri glacier is reported to have been melting at a faster pace. Moreover, the water level of the seas and oceans have risen 10-25 cm over the past 100 years. Sudden flood, irregular rainfall, earthquake and tsunami are sure indications that the temperature of the earth has been increasing alarmingly. Global warming also has a significant impact on ecosystems and biodiversity. Rising temperatures are forcing many species to migrate to new areas in search of suitable conditions. This not only results in the loss of habitats but also disrupts the whole ecological process.

In order to fight the challenge of global warming all the countries must join hands and take immediate measures to check and uproot the factors responsible for global warming. There must be a global planning to create a suitable and sustainable world for us.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Due to rapid industrialization, pollution, deforestation and burning of fossil fuels, greenhouse gases like carbon monoxide and sulfur dioxide released into the atmosphere. These greenhouse gasses trap the solar rays and prevent it from escaping from the surface of the earth, thus influencing the heating of the earth’s atmosphere.

Climate change, loss of biodiversity and wildlife, rising sea levels, and many more.

We have to come forward to reduce global warming. We can do it so by stop cutting trees and planting more trees, replacing fossil-based fuels, reduction of greenhouse gases and by recycling more.

Essay on Global Warming

The last few decades have been monumental when it comes to technological development. Humans have developed systems and machines that make our lives easier. Especially during the early modern period from the early 16th century to as far as the late 18the century, also commonly referred to as “The Scientific Revolution” or “The Enlightenment”, modern technology leapt ahead in development in such a short time frame compared to all of history.

However, with the development of society, there has been a severe detriment to the quality of Earth’s environment. One of the most massive threats to the condition of the planet is climate change. Inadequate research and reckless misuse of natural resources are some of the core reasons for the deteriorating condition of the planet.

To understand the concept of Global Warming and its causes and effects, we need to take an in-depth look into many factors that affect the temperature of the planet and what that means for the future of the world. Here is an objective look at the topic of Global Warming and other important related topics.

What is Climate Change?

Ever since the industrial and scientific revolution, Earth is slowly being used up for its resources. Moreover, the onset of the exponential increase in the world’s population is also very taxing on the environment.

Simply put, as the need for consumption of the population increases, both the utilisation of natural resources and the waste generated from the use of said resources have also increased massively.

One of the main results of this over the many years has become climate change. Climate change is not just the rise or fall of temperature of different areas of the world; it is also a change in the rain cycles, wind patterns, cyclone frequencies, sea levels, etc. It affects all major life groups on the planet in some way or the other.

What is Global Warming?

Global Warming is often considered an effect of Climate change. Global Warming is the rapid increase in the temperature of the Earth’s environment that is causing many life-threatening issues to arise.

Global Warming is a dangerous effect on our environment that we are facing these days. Rapid industrialization, increase in the population growth and pollution are causing a rise in Global Warming. Global Warming refers to the increase in the average temperature of the earth's surface during the last century. One of the reasons why Global Warming is dangerous is because it disturbs the overall ecology of the planet. This results in floods, famine, cyclones and other issues. There are many causes and results of this warming and is a danger for the existence of life on earth.

The sign of Global Warming is already visible with many natural phenomena happening around globally, affecting each living species.

Here is some data that can help to give a more precise understanding of the reality of Global Warming in the last few years:

On average, the world’s temperature is about 1.5°C higher than during the start of the industrial revolution in the late 1700s. That may not seem a lot to you, but that is an average estimate. This number is only increasing. Many parts of the world face far more severe changes in temperature that affect the planet’s overall health.

In 1950, the world’s CO 2 emissions were at 6 billion tonnes which had quadrupled in volume until 1990, just 40 years later to 22 billion tonnes. Not only that, unchecked CO 2 emissions today have reached a whopping 35 billion tonnes.

The most evident causes of Global Warming are industrialization, urbanization, deforestation, and sophisticated human activities. These human activities have led to an increase in the emission of Greenhouse Gases, including CO₂, Nitrous Oxide, Methane, and others.

Causes of Global Warming

A variety of reasons causes Global Warming. Some of which can be controlled personally by individuals but others are only expected to be solved by communities and the world leaders and activists at the global level.

Many scientists believe the main four reasons for Global Warming, according to recent studies, are:

Greenhouse gases

Deforestation

Per capita carbon emissions

Global Warming is certainly an alarming situation, which is causing a significant impact on life existence. Extreme Global Warming is resulting in natural calamities, which is quite evident happening around. One of the reasons behind Global Warming is the extreme release of greenhouse gases stuck on the earth surface, resulting in the temperature increase.

Similarly, volcanoes are also leading to Global Warming because they spew too much CO₂ in the air. One of the significant causes behind Global Warming is the increase in the population. This increase in the population also results in air pollution. Automobiles release a lot of CO₂, which remains stuck in the earth.

This increase in the population is also leading to deforestation, which further results in Global Warming. More and more trees are being cut, increasing the concentration of CO₂.

The greenhouse is the natural process where the sunlight passes through the area, thus warming the earth's surface. The earth surface releases energy in the form of heat in the atmosphere maintaining the balance with the incoming energy. Global Warming depletes the ozone layer leading to the doom's day.

There is a clear indication that the increase in Global Warming will lead to the complete extinction of life from the earth surface.

Solution for Global Warming

Global Warming can not be blamed on individuals; however, it can be tackled and maintained from worsening starting at the individual level. Of course, industries and multinational conglomerates have higher carbon emissions levels than an average citizen. Still, activism and community effort are the only feasible ways to control the worsening state of Global Warming.

Additionally, at the state or government level, world leaders need to create concrete plans and step programmes to ensure that no further harm is being caused to the environment in general.

Although we are almost late in slowing down the Global Warming rate, it is crucial to find the right solution. From individuals to governments, everyone has to work upon a solution for Global Warming. Controlling pollution, population and use of natural resources are some of the factors to consider. Switching over to the electric and hybrid car is the best way to bring down the carbon dioxide.

As a citizen, it is best to switch over to the hybrid car and to use public transport. This will reduce pollution and congestion. Another significant contribution you can make is to minimize the use of plastic. Plastic is the primary cause of Global Warming taking years to recycle.

Deforestation is another thing to consider that will help in controlling Global Warming. Planting of more trees should be encouraged to make the environment go green.

Industrialization should be under certain norms. The building of industries should be banned in green zones affecting plants and species. Hefty penalties should be levied on such sectors contributing towards Global Warming.

Effects of Global Warming

Global Warming is a real problem that many want to prove as a hoax for their political benefit. However, as aware citizens of the world, we must make sure only the truth is presented in the media.

Various parts of the environment, both flora and fauna, are directly adversely affected by the damages caused by Global Warming. Wildlife being in danger is ultimately a serious threat to the survival of humanity as we know it and its future.

The effect of Global Warming is widely seen in this decade. Glacier retreat and arctic shrinkage are the two common phenomena seen. Glaciers are melting in a fast way. These are pure examples of climate change.

Rise in sea level is another significant effect of Global Warming. This sea-level rise is leading to floods in low-lying areas. Extreme weather conditions are witnessed in many countries. Unseasonal rainfall, extreme heat and cold, wildfires and others are common every year. The number of these cases is increasing. This will indeed imbalance the ecosystem bringing the result of the extinction of species.

Similarly, marine life is also widely getting affected due to the increase in Global Warming. This is resulting in the death of marine species and other issues. Moreover, changes are expected in coral reefs, which are going to face the end in coming years.

These effects will take a steep rise in coming years, bringing the expansion of species to a halt. Moreover, humans too will witness the negative impact of Global Warming in the end.

FAQs on Global Warming Essay

1. What Global Warming will Cause?

Global warming will have a massive impact on our earth in the end. Flood, extreme weather conditions, famine, wildfire and many more will be the result. There will be hotter days, which will also increase the wildfire and famine. In the past years, many meteorological bureaus have added purple and magenta to the forecast.

Another impact of global warming will be rising sea levels. Increased ocean temperatures will lead to the melting of glaciers and ice caps. Increase in the sea level will lead to floods in many low-lying areas.

The overall ecosystem of nature will be an imbalance. This will affect nature in the long-term.

2. Why Does Global Warming Happen?

There are many reasons for the cause of global warming. There are certain gases in the atmosphere called greenhouse gases. The energy then radiates from the surface; the greenhouse gases trap longwave radiation. We humans have added to the atmospheric blanket of greenhouse affecting the living species. Warming of air, oceans, and land is how global warming happens.

IELTS Global Warming Essay - Model Answer

Probably the most worrying threat to our planet at the present time is global warming. This essay will examine the reasons why global warming is occurring and discuss some possible solutions.

The predominant factors resulting in the warming of the earth are the emissions of CO2 and deforestation. CO2, which damages the ozone layer, comes from several sources, but the most problematic are those coming from the burning of fossil fuels from power plants. This releases thousands of tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere every year. Another cause of these emissions is the burning of gasoline for transportation, which continues to grow because of our demand for cars and also our increasing worldwide consumption, resulting in an escalating need to transport goods. Also, forests store large amounts of carbon, so deforestation is causing larger amounts of CO2 to remain in the atmosphere.

Nevertheless, there are potential ways to solve these problems, or at least reduce the effects. Firstly, governments need to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and promote alternatives. Plant-derived plastics, biodiesel, wind power and solar power are all things that are a step in the right direction, but governments need to enforce the limits on CO2 emissions for the polluting industries in their countries for these to be effective. Also, individuals can play a part by making lifestyle changes. People should try to buy cars with the best fuel economy, and only use their car when really necessary. They can also switch to energy companies that use renewable energy rather than fossil fuels. Finally, small things like buying energy efficient light bulbs, turning off electricity in the house, and planting trees in the garden can help.

To conclude, although global warming is a serious issue, there are steps that governments and individuals can take to reduce its effects. If we are to save our planet, it is important that this is treated as a priority for all concerned.

Paragraph on Global Warming – 100 Words for Classes 1, 2, 3 Kids

Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the earth’s atmosphere. It is caused by the rise in carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere, which leads to an increase in temperature. Global warming has been accelerated due to mass deforestation activities by man. Plants use carbon dioxide to prepare their food and release oxygen as a by-product. So, if we have enough plants, they will absorb the excess carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and decrease the rate of global warming to some extent. Planting more trees can reduce the carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere and will result in a decrease in global warming.

Paragraph on Global Warming - 100 Words for Classes 1, 2, 3 Kids

Paragraph on Global Warming – 150 Words for Classes 4 and 5 Children

Global warming is a hike in the average global temperature on earth. Burning of excess fossil fuel and the release of toxic fumes into the atmosphere is the major cause behind global warming. Global warming can have disastrous effects on living organisms. The impacts of global warming are widespread and unspecific. Some areas experience a sudden rise in the temperature while others witness a sudden fall in it.

The major reason for global warming is the burning of fossil fuel for energy. It has been noted that the average temperature on the earth has increased by 1.5 degrees Celsius in the past decade. This is a reason for worry as it can damage ecosystems and might result in the disruption of the environment. Global warming can be checked if we take concrete steps towards restoring the lost vegetation in our forests. We can also use clean energy sources like wind energy, solar energy, and tidal energy to check the rise in global warming.

Paragraph on Global Warming – 200 Words for Classes 6, 7, 8 Students

Global warming is the cumulative rise in average global temperatures on earth measured over a long period. It has been attributed to the large scale deforestation by man for different purposes. We consume a lot of fuel annually. With an increase in the human population, it has become impossible to meet people’s fuel requirements. Natural resources are limited, and we must use them judiciously. If we exploit natural resources like forests and water bodies, it will create an imbalance in the ecosystem. Global warming is not limited to the rise in temperature. It has other effects too.

Many parts of the world are witnessing natural disasters like hurricanes, floods, and avalanches. All these phenomena are a direct result of global warming. To prevent our environment from the harmful effects of global warming, we must restoring our ecosystem. Man has been exploiting natural resources without giving the environment anything in return. This needs to be stopped. We must all join forces to make this world a better place for our future generations who deserve this planet as much as we do. The basic step that we can follow to increase the overall health of our planet is planting trees. Afforestation should be our primary goal. The earth can become a better place if we pledge to plant as many trees as we can in our lifetime.

Paragraph on Global Warming – 250 to 300 Words for Classes 9, 10, 11, 12 and Competitive Exams Students

The earth is burning. And we are the reason behind it. An unprecedented rise in the global atmospheric temperature on earth can be termed as global warming. The average temperature on earth has increased by 1.5 degrees Celsius since the last decade. Global warming is not a single phenomenon; rather, a series of interlinked events that fuel the ultimate rise in global temperatures. It has a plethora of effects across different levels of the ecosystem. In some parts of the world, the effect is negligible, while in others, the effect is significant. Burning of fossil fuel and respiration by animals releases gases like carbon dioxide that escapes into the atmosphere.

The heat rays reflecting from the surface of the earth get trapped in the atmosphere because of the carbon dioxide present in it. This is known as the ‘greenhouse effect.’ It is necessary to prevent our planet from becoming a frozen ball. But excessive carbon dioxide retains all the heat emanating from the earth’s surface, leading to global warming. The main gases responsible for global warming are known as greenhouse gases.

The chief greenhouse gases are carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and ozone. These gases, when present in unbalanced amounts, result in global warming. Global warming can wipe out the entire human population from the surface of the earth and therefore, must be curbed at the earliest. While the damage cannot be reversed, we can ensure that the effects are controlled to some extent. The first thing we need to do is lead a mass afforestation drive. Next, we can shift from conventional sources of energy like petroleum to cleaner ones like solar and wind energy.

Paragraph on Global Warming - 250 to 300 Words for Classes 9, 10, 11, 12 and Competitive Exams Students

Global Warming Essay in English (100, 200, 300, 500 Words)

Global Warming is one of the biggest problems in the world. Everyone is facing some adverse effects from the increase in the temperature of the Globe worldwide. The rise in pollution and the adverse effect of the pollution disturbs the life cycle of the globe and also impacts the bad condition on the natural peace on Earth.

Hence the temperature of the globe is increasing day by day with the increase of pollution that is growing day by day. Scientists are working and researching on the project to decrease the temperature of the globe by taking some scientific steps and other eco-friendly projects and stunts that somehow help the earth reduce the temperature and decrease global warming.

In this topic, we are going to discuss Global warming, its causes, and the preventive measures that are being used to control it.

We have covered an essay pattern of Global Warming in various paragraphs of around 100 words, 200 words, 300 words, and 500 words, respectively, that helps many of the children or students of class 2 to 12th to understand Global warming and its adverse effects if not controlled in time.

Table of Contents

Global Warming Essay 100 Words

The main phenomenon of Global Warming is that the temperature of the globe is increasing due to several problems and different issues that are responsible for warming the earth day by day. It is not an old concept, in fact, the word ‘Global Warming’ arose in the past few decades, or we can say centuries. It causes the change of the climate near the Earth’s surface and disturbs the alteration of the climatic weather because of the increase in the temperature of the globe. There are many reasons that cause Global Warming, like air, noise, or water pollution. The adverse effects of greenhouse gases cause global warming mostly.

Global Warming Essay 200 Words

The whole world is facing enormous problems caused by global warming and the adverse effects of the unnecessary change in the climatic weather due to this problem. According to the research taken by scientists, greenhouse gases affect global warming the most. Around 90 to 95% of global warming is affected by greenhouse gases. The greenhouse gases like Carbon dioxide, Carbon monoxide, Methane, some Nitrous oxides, etc released by the burning of fossil fuels. It emits heat radiation, which increases the temperature level in the air because its function is to absorb heat from the sunlight and release more heat into the environment.

Other ways of increasing the temperature of the globe are Deforestation, the Burning of excess Fossil fuels, Industrialization, Unnecessary agricultural activities, an increase in pollution, etc. This causes the depletion of the Ozone protective layer in the atmosphere that protects the Earth’s Surface from the UV radiation rays emitted from the sun. Agricultural malfunctioning processes due to the pollution and rise in the earth’s temperature destroy the soil nutrition and burn the sowed crops. The increased temperature of the globe causes the melting of the glaciers and ice of polar regions resulting in the increase in the water level in rivers, water bodies that cause floods and destruction, and other natural disturbances in biodiversity.

Global Warming Essay 300 Words

Everyone knows about the Global Warming effect and the fact that it causes destruction if global warming increases continuously, which badly destroys the existence of life on Earth. Global warming is a threat to every living being on planet Earth. The rise of global warming is caused due to the increase in Industrialization, Deforestation, Urbanization, and the increase in the various types of pollution on Earth. The major cause of the rise of Global warming is the increased emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere due to increased air pollutant like carbon dioxide, methane, carbon monoxide, ozone, nitrous oxides, etc. which emits excess heat in the form of infrared radiation by absorbing the heat from the sun rays. This heat radiation, which increases the earth’s temperature in a great extinction, causes global warming.

Global warming causes the depletion of the protective ozone layer due to excessive temperature and pollution damages the layer and causes some small holes in the ozone layer from which direct sunlight enters the Earth’s atmosphere with the UV rays and impacts major damage to the earth’s surface. Deforestation reduces trees’ existence, which absorb carbon dioxide and emits oxygen to balance greenhouse gases. Burning of the excess fossil fuels such as coal, petrol, diesel, and other fuels that produce energy burning and using personal vehicles for transportation instead of mass transportation emits an excess amount of greenhouse gases that increase global warming in a great extinction.

To prevent the existence of life on our planet, we have to take some major steps towards the benefit of the earth and to destroy the adverse effects of the monster’ Global Warming’. The damage cannot be recurred by doing anything, but we can overcome all these by not doing such thighs and mistakes that help in increasing the earth’s temperature by using preventive steps like afforestation and use of public transportation instead of personal transport, using renewable energy resources, reducing the pollution level by using the recyclable things. It is our responsibility to make our planet clean and safe.

Global Warming Essay 500 Words

Today’s generation is facing an enormous problem which is called Global Warming. Global warming is a serious and dangerous problem which means an increase in the temperature of the earth’s atmosphere. It is said that the impact of global warming on the Earth’s temperature is increased by 1 to 1.5 degrees celsius to normal temperature. The major reason for increasing the earth’s temperature is deforestation by Humans for their own benefit and due to this, the quantity of trees and forests is decreasing. The trees absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen, but if the quantity of trees is decreasing day-by-day, then carbon dioxide will increase than normal and cause global warming in a larger quantity. The burning of fossil fuels emits an excess amount of hazardous gases such as carbon dioxide. Release of harmful gases such as CO2, CO, Methane, Nitrous Oxide, etc. emits heat radiations and toxic fumes in the atmosphere by absorbing the heat from the sunlight.

Global warming is a major cause of the unnecessary change in the climate and due to this, the weather cycle is changing day by day randomly and the living biodiversity is adversely affected because of this problem. The protective layer of the atmosphere called the Ozone layer is getting affected and damaging slowly and the layer is also becoming thinner. The burning of fossil fuel from vehicles and Industries that emits waste smokes and harmful gases results in an increase in the pollution on Earth and affects living organisms and nature.

Air pollution, Noise pollution, and Land and Water Pollution are such pollution from which the environment gets damaged and due to this, many kinds of environmental disasters occur such as the melting of Icebergs of glaciers, and polar regions which result in the increase of the water level of water bodies that causes floods and tsunamis. Water pollution and Noise pollution also cause the increase of the earth’s temperature which results in global warming and because of this situation, the living creatures and other species who survived on Earth may feel the consequences of global warming.

If we, Human beings, don’t try to control this pollution from now on, then we all are going to make this place on Earth worse than hell and suffer from our upcoming generations. Due to this unnecessary pollution, many diseases are raised that we don’t even hear about and there is no treatment found yet by the medical science that is going to attack us. So it is the major responsibility of all human beings to control global warming by controlling the increase in pollution and other adverse causes that raise global warming. To reduce pollution, we have to adopt the usage of renewable energy resources and avoid using fossil fuels, use energy-efficient products and things, increase the use of sustainable transport and enhance the infrastructure, and reduce the use of personal transport. We can also use clean and renewable energy sources like wind energy, solar energy, and tidal energy to reduce the adverse effects of global warming. We have to increase tree plantation and also switch to renewable resources that help nature and reduce the Earth’s temperature.

Short Essay on Global Warming (250 – 300 Words)

The rise in the Earth’s temperature leads to global warming. Over the last 100 years, the average temperature of the Earth has been going up. The release of greenhouse gases that can’t leave the earth makes the temperature rise. There are many things that have been slowly making the temperature rise. Greenhouse gases like CO2 and methane are the main reasons why global warming is getting worse on Earth. Scientist says that greenhouse gases are responsible for almost 95% of global warming.

Extreme global warming is causing disasters in the natural world. This is causing the rise in sea levels, melting of ice caps and glaciers, the unexpected change in weather, etc poses threats to life on Earth.

The superior cause of global warming is human activities. Industrialization is a big reason why the Earth is getting warmer. Many scientists think that, according to recent studies, the four main causes of global warming are:

  • Greenhouse gases
  • Deforestation
  • Carbon emissions

Plastic is the main cause of global warming as recycling it takes a long time. We should try to cut down the amount of greenhouse gases into the air. Reducing the burning of coal and oil, excessive automobiles on roads, use of electricity, etc could help a lot with global warming. There will be less carbon in the air if there are fewer cars and trucks on the road. Reducing your carbon footprint and making it a habit to do simple things like turn off appliances when you’re not using them would go a long way. We should take proper steps to control global warming and live happily.

Long Essay on Global Warming (500 Words)

Introduction

Global warming is the gradual rise in the Earth’s temperature due to several reasons. It is very dangerous for both people and the environment. Global warming can also be considered an effect of climate change. The main thing that causes global warming is the release of greenhouse gases that can’t be stopped. Carbon dioxide and methane are among the major greenhouse gases. This warming has many causes and effects, and it poses a threat to life on Earth.

Causes of Global Warming

There isn’t just one reason behind global warming. The causes of these issues have two sources: nature and humanity. Some of the natural causes include volcano eruptions, solar radiation, etc. Carbon dioxide levels are going up because people are using automobiles and fossil fuels excessively.

Deforestation is one of the most common and fast-growing problems leading to global warming. Since trees are cut down, the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is increasing. The growing population, industrialization, pollution, etc are some other factors leading to global warming.

How does Global Warming affect us?

Global warming causes a lot of changes in the weather, such as longer summers and shorter winters, higher temperatures, changes in how the air moves, the jet stream, rain that falls at any time of year, melting ice caps, a thinner ozone layer, etc. It can also lead to an increase in natural calamities like heavy storms, cyclones, floods, droughts, and many others.

Different parts of the environment, including plants and animals, are directly affected by the damage caused by global warming. Another important effect of Global Warming is that the sea level is going up, the glaciers are melting quickly, etc. As Global Warming gets worse, it is also having a big effect on marine life. This is killing marine animals and causing other problems.

How Global Warming can be controlled?

Even though it is almost too late to slow down the rate of global warming, it is very important to find the right answer. Global Warming is a problem that needs to be solved by everyone, from individuals to governments. Some of the things to consider are controlling pollution, population, and the use of natural resources. People can use public transportation or carpool with other people will provide great help. So, people should also be encouraged to recycle.

On the part of the government, they need to control industrial waste and make it illegal for factories to let out harmful gases into the air. Deforestation must stop right away, and people should be encouraged to plant trees.

There are clear signs that the increase in global warming will kill off all life on the surface of the earth. Today, global warming became the greatest threat to humanity that cannot be neglected. Nor it can be controlled easily. By getting involved and taking steps, we can help in slowing down its effect.

I hope the above provided essay on Global Warming will be helpful in understanding the causes, effects, and methods to control it.

Essay on Global Warming in 500 Words

We have all heard the word Global Warming. However, most of us are not familiar with its meaning. So what is global warming? It is a phenomenon that deals with climate change which causes a rise in the Earth’s average temperature. Over the past few decades, the average global temperature has been increasing rapidly, and this rate keeps on increasing. Various activities, both natural and man-made, are contributing to this increase in temperature. The effects of global warming are critical and life-changing. It not only affects humans but also affects other creatures living on earth. The Arctic Circle has been one of the worst-hit areas.

Glaciers are melting, and avalanches are occurring more often. More than a million species are already extinct as a result. Global warming leads to several natural disasters. This leaves thousands of people deprived of shelter, food, and money. It has become a grave issue in the present times, and it needs our attentiveness. The conditions will only worsen if we do not step up in action now. Global warming is a challenging task to control. But if we all come together, we can manage to do so.

Causes of Global Warming

Global Warming is a threat to all life forms sustaining on earth. It occurs due to several causes. These causes come under two categories: Natural and Human activities.

Natural causes: One of the biggest contributors to global warming is the release of greenhouse gases. These gases include carbon dioxide, methane, sulfur dioxide, and water vapour. They cause the heat to stay trapped in the earth’s atmosphere without escaping back to space. The trapped heat then increases the global temperature. Methane and carbon dioxide are also released due to volcanic eruptions. Methane is far more capable of trapping heat than carbon dioxide. One single volcanic eruption can release tons of these two gases along with loads of ash. Methane also gets released from other sources like cattle waste, natural gas, petroleum pits, mining areas, landfills, and industrial sites.

Human Activities: Man made activities have been majorly contributing to global warming. With our evolution, our lifestyle changes and our demands also change. Our modern lifestyle seeks comfort and luxury. Industrialization and urbanization are two such things that have led to a significant rise in our Earth’s temperature. Deforestation , burning of fossil fuels, mining of ores, and high scale industrial production are all man-made activities. We use cars, trucks, buses as a means of transport. These utilize fuel which burns and releases carbon dioxide as vehicular exhaust. Deforestation is malpractice which has resulted in global warming. We cut trees for our selfish means. Trees are beneficial as they absorb carbon dioxide from the air and regulate the core temperature. If we continue to do so, the accumulation of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere will cause even more damage.

Effects of Global Warming

Global Warming has serious consequences. Here a few of them have been mentioned.

Melting polar ice caps (due to rising temperature) leads to raised sea levels and melting of glaciers. As a result, low lying areas are flooded or submerged. This leads to habitat loss. Ocean water is twenty-six per cent more acidic than it was before industrialization. A lot of species like polar bears, penguins, seals, and other amphibians are at risk of endangerment. Many birds choose to migrate to different areas because they cannot adapt to the changing climate. Coral reefs are the next target of habitat loss. The entire biotic ecosystem will be damaged. Up to one-third of the Earth’s animals and plants can disappear by the end of 2080 as a result of Global warming.

Hurricanes, Tsunamis, and Earthquakes can occur more frequently, and there will be economical consequences. The government will be spending a lot of money for damage control and mass evacuation of people to safe spots. Loss of life will cause even more damage in the form of diseases. Fast outspread of diseases is meant to make the situation worse.Human health could be in distress. We will be vulnerable to allergies, infections, and severe respiratory diseases, etc. Chances of pandemics and epidemics will increase. Destruction of agricultural lands can happen as an outcome of extreme climatic changes. Ultimately, we will be at a loss of food for the entire population. People might die out of hunger.

Global Warming Solutions – How to Stop?

Global warming is certainly challenging, but it is possible to make some changes to fix it. This can only happen if we collectively put efforts to stop it. We, as individuals, along with the government, have to take steps towards achieving this goal. The greenhouse gases present in the atmosphere need to be reduced to a large extent. Moreover, we must utilize our resources moderately. Consumption of gasoline, electricity, fossil fuels must be reduced. Alternative forms of energy can help us prevent the release of carbon dioxide gas. Instead of taking our bikes and cars, we should use the means of public transport.

Global warming is a serious problem for our environment right now. Things like factories growing quickly, more people, and pollution are making global warming worse. It means the Earth’s surface is getting hotter on average over the past hundred years.

For a while now, the Earth’s temperature has been going up. This has affected animals, people, and everything that lives here. Ice is melting in places like glaciers, causing water shortages, floods, and erosion in some countries. All of this happens because of global warming.

Global warming means the slow increase in the Earth’s overall atmospheric temperature. Many things we do are slowly making the temperature rise. It’s causing our ice glaciers to melt quickly, which is really bad for the Earth and people.

What is Global Warming?

Global warming refers to the rising global temperatures of the Earth’s atmosphere. It’s primarily caused by the increase in greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide emissions from burning fossil fuels and deforestation. As a result, we see melting polar ice and rising sea levels. This change in temperature can also lead to extreme weather events and affect our ecological balance. Efforts like sustainable energy adoption, promoting renewable resources, and international agreements like the Paris Agreement and Kyoto Protocol aim to combat this issue. Understanding global warming is crucial because of its significant environmental impact and the need for climate adaptation.

Global Warming Causes

Global warming is a big concern for our planet. Let’s understand its causes in simple words:

  • Greenhouse gases: Think of these like a blanket around the Earth. When we release more of these gases, especially carbon dioxide emissions and methane emissions, the Earth gets warmer.
  • Fossil fuels: When we burn coal, oil, and gas for energy, we release a lot of harmful gases into the Earth’s atmosphere. This is a major reason behind the global temperature rise.
  • Deforestation: Trees absorb carbon dioxide, one of the main greenhouse gases. When we cut down trees, we lose a big helper in fighting global warming.
  • Carbon footprint: Everything we do, from driving cars to using electricity, leaves a mark called a carbon footprint. The bigger our footprint, the more we contribute to global warming.
  • Industrial processes: Factories and industries release gases that contribute to the warming. This has a huge environmental impact.
  • Melting polar ice and rising sea levels: As the Earth gets warmer, ice in the poles melts. This makes the sea levels rise, which is a result and cause of global warming.
  • Ozone depletion: The ozone layer protects us from the sun’s harmful rays. But certain actions of ours damage this layer, making the Earth warmer.
  • Farming and agriculture : Practices like rice cultivation produce methane, a greenhouse gas. Cows also produce methane, adding to the problem.

Effects of Global Warming

Global warming is causing our planet to heat up. When people talk about “climate change”, they’re often referring to the changes happening because of global warming. So, what effects is this warming having on our world?

  • Rising Sea Levels : One major problem is the melting polar ice. As ice in places like Antarctica and Greenland melts, it causes sea levels to rise. This can lead to flooding in coastal areas.
  • Extreme Weather : We’re seeing more extreme weather events. This means more intense storms, hurricanes, heatwaves, and heavy rainfall.
  • Hotter Temperatures : The global temperature rise is making summers hotter and winters milder in many places.
  • Melting Glaciers : Not just the polar ice, but glaciers around the world are melting too. This glacier retreat can affect the water supply for many people.
  • Harm to Animals and Plants : Biodiversity loss is a big concern. Many animals and plants can’t cope with the changes, leading to a disruption in ecosystems.
  • Ocean Changes : The extra carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere is causing ocean acidification. This makes it harder for creatures like coral and some shellfish to survive.
  • Human Health Risks : Warmer temperatures can lead to health problems. It can also spread diseases carried by mosquitoes, like malaria.
  • Deforestation : While deforestation is more a cause than an effect, the loss of trees makes global warming worse. Trees help absorb CO2, which is one of the greenhouse gases causing the Earth’s atmosphere to warm up.
  • Shift in Habitats : With the Earth’s atmosphere changing, many animals are moving to different places to find suitable living conditions.
  • Economic Impact : There’s an environmental impact, but also an economic one. For instance, farmers can struggle with unpredictable weather, affecting food prices.

Global Warming Solutions

Global warming is a real concern, but there are solutions that can help slow down the temperature rise on Earth. Let’s discuss some of them in simple terms:

  • Green Technology : Adopting green technologies means using methods and devices that don’t harm the environment. For instance, instead of burning coal, we can use solar panels to produce electricity.
  • Renewable Resources : These are natural sources of energy that won’t run out, like sun and wind. By investing more in solar power and wind energy, we can reduce our reliance on fossil fuels .
  • Reduce Carbon Footprint : This means trying to lessen the amount of carbon dioxide (a greenhouse gas ) we release into the Earth’s atmosphere . Simple actions like turning off lights when not needed or walking instead of driving can make a difference.
  • Reforestation : Planting more trees is essential. Trees absorb carbon dioxide, which helps in tackling carbon dioxide emissions . On the flip side, deforestation , or cutting down trees, can accelerate global warming.
  • Conservation Efforts : This involves using resources wisely. For instance, turning off the tap while brushing or using both sides of the paper.
  • Educate on Climate Change : Knowledge is power. When more people understand the real dangers of global warming and climate change , they’re more likely to take action.
  • Supporting Policies : There are international agreements like the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement aimed at reducing the adverse effects of global warming. Supporting such policies and initiatives can have a global impact.
  • Clean Energy Solutions : This involves developing and using energy methods that produce less pollution. Think of electric cars or biofuels.
  • Climate Adaptation : This means making changes to better deal with the effects of global warming. For example, if an area is facing frequent flooding due to rising sea levels , building higher sea walls might be a solution.
  • Reduce Methane Emissions : Methane is another greenhouse gas that contributes to global warming. By managing waste better and reducing leakage from oil and gas industries, we can curb its release.

It is a steady process of continuous rise in the level of Earth temperature. Global Warming has become one of the biggest problems faced by the world now. It is believed that increased levels of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases on the earth are the main reasons for heating the earth’s atmosphere. If it is not noticed and solved immediately by the efforts of all countries worldwide, it would boom its effects and cause end of life on the earth with a day.

Its threatening effects ang day by day and creating danger for human life. However Global Warming is the leading and only reason of rising sea levels, flooding, changes in weather patterns, storms, cyclone, epidemic, lack of food, death, etc. The only solution to solve the issue of global Warming is the individual level social awareness. People must be aware of its meaning, cause, harmful effects, and other things about global Warming to get it warming worldwide and make the possibilities of life on earth forever as usual.

People should stop producing C02 by just eliminating their lousy eliminating as controlling the use of oil, coal and gas, inhibiting cut, ting plants (as they are the main source of absorbing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen), minimizing the use of electricity, etc. Just small changes in everyone’s life all over the world, we can stop the huge negative changes in the atmosphere by lessening the effects of global Warming and even stopping it.

It is the continuous rise in warming of the earth’s surface due to the increased level of carbon dioxide gas in the environment. Global Warming has become a big issue which need to solved that needs positive initiation by countries all over the world. With a gradual increase, the earth’s temperature calls various threats as well as makes the and makes life’s existence. It enhances the gradual and permanent changes in the earth’s climate and thus affecting nature’s balance.

As the Earth gets hotter, it causes many problems and upsets how nature works. This heat change makes long-term differences in our weather, affecting nature. The rise in carbon dioxide (CO2) has big impacts too.

Rise in the CO2 level, the earth impacts the human life to a g level through continued heat waves, sudden occurrence of a strong storms, unpredictable and unexpected cyclone, damage to ozone layer, floods, the heavy rain, drought, lack, and food, diseases, death etc. It has researched that increasing emissions of CO2 in the atmosphere is because of the nonstop burning of constantans, usage of fertilizers, cutting forests, extra use of electricity, gases used in refrigerator etc. According to the e statistics, it has noted that by 2020 global Warming may boom its bad effects if it is not taken under control as CO2 emissions are increasing continuously.

The increasing level of CO2 causes greenhouse effect on the earth in which all the greenhouse gases (water vapour, CO2, methane, ozone) absorbs thermal radiation, which in turn re-radiated to all directions and come back to earth surface causing increase in the temperature of earth surface and also lead to global Warming.

In order to stop the life threatening effects of the global Warming, we should take a permanent break from all the bad habits causing increase in the CO2 level and other green house gases leading to the green house effect and then earth surface warming. We should stop deforestation, lessen the use of electricity, stop the burning of wood, etc.

Essay on Global Warming in 400 Words

Global Warming the big environmental issue we facing today as a greatest challenge which we need to get it solved permanently. In fact, global Warming is the continuous and steady process of increasing in the temperature of earth surface. It needs to discussed widely by all countries worldwide to stop the effects of it. It has impacted the nature’s balance, biodiversity and also climatic conditions of the earth over decades.

Green house gases like CO2, methane are the main reasons of increasing the global Warming on the earth which directly impacts the rising sea levels, melting ice caps, glaciers, unexpected changing climate which represents life threats on the earth. According to the statistic, it has estimated that earth temperature has increased to a great level since mid 20th century due to the increased atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations globally because of the increased demand of the human living standard.

It has measured that year like 1983, 1987, 1988, 1989 and 1991 as the warmest six years of the past century. This increasing global Warming calls the unexpected disasters on the earth like flood, cyclones, tsunami, drought, landslides, ice melting, lack of food, epidemic diseases, death etc thus causing imbalance to the nature’s phenomenon and indicating end of life existence on this planet.

Increasing global Warming lead to the more water evaporation from earth into the atmosphere, which in turn become a greenhouse gas and again causes rise in the global Warming. Other processes like burning of fossil fuels, use of fertilizers, rise in other gases like CFCs, tropospheric ozone and nitrous oxide are also the reasons of global Warming. The ultimate causes of such reasons are the technological advancement, population explosion, increasing demand of industrial expansion, deforestation, priority towards urbanization, etc.

Essay on Global Warming in 800 Words

What is Global Warming

Global Warming is a gradual process of heating of earth’s surface and also whole environment including oceans, ice caps, etc. The global rise in atmospheric temperature has clearly noticed in the recent years. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, in the past century there is increase in the earth’s surface average temperature by around 1.4 degree Fahrenheit (means 0.8 degrees Celsius). It has also estimated that global temperature may increase by another 2 to 11.5 degrees F in the next century.

Causes of Global Warming

There are many causes of global Warming , some are natural causes and some human made causes. The most important cause and of global Warming is greenhouse gases which generated by some natural processes as well as human activities. The increase in the level of green house gases has seen in the 20 th century because of the increasing population, economy and use of energy. Increasing demand of industrialization in the modern world to fulfill almost each need is causing the release of variety of green house gases through many industrial processes in the atmosphere.

The release of carbon dioxide (CO2) and sulphur dioxide (SO2) gas has increased in the recent years by 10-fold. The release of carbon dioxide gas varies according to the natural and industrial processes including photosynthesis and oxidation cycles. Methane is another green house gas release in the atmosphere by the anaerobic decomposition of organic materials. Other greenhouse gases are like oxides of nitrogen (nitrous oxide), halocarbons, chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), chlorine and bromine compounds, etc. Such green house gases get collected to the atmosphere and disturb the radiative balance of atmosphere. They have capability to absorb heat radiations and cause Warming of the earth surface.

Another cause of global Warming is ozone depletion means declination of ozone layer over Antarctica. Ozone layer is declining day by day by increasing release of chlorofluorocarbon gas. A human generated cause of global Warming. Chlorofluorocarbon gas used at many places as aerosol propellants in the industrial cleaning fluids and also in the refrigerators, the gradual release of which causes declination to the ozone layer in the atmosphere.

What is Ozone Layer

Ozone layer causes protection to the earth surface by inhibiting the harmful sun rays to coming to the earth. However, gradually declining ozone layer is the big indication of increasing global Warming of the earth surface. Harmful ultraviolet sun rays entering to the biosphere and get absorbed by the green houses gases which ultimately increase the global Warming. According to the statistics, it has estimated that the size of ozone hole has been twice the size of Antarctica (more than 25 million km2) by 2000. There is no any clear trend of ozone layer declination in the winter or summer seasons.

Presence of various aerosols in the atmosphere is also causing earth’s surface temperature to increase. Atmospheric aerosols are fully capable to scatter (causes cooling to the planet) and absorb (makes air warm) the solar and infrared radiations. They are also capable to change the microphysical and chemical properties of the clouds and possibly their lifetime and extent. The increasing amount of aerosols in the atmosphere is because of human contribution. Dust produced by agriculture, organic droplets and soot particles produced by biomass burning, and aerosols produced by the industrial processes through the burning of wide variety of products in the manufacturing process. However various emissions by means of transport generate different pollutants which get converted to the aerosols through many chemical reactions in the atmosphere.

The effects of global Warming have been very clear in the recent years because of increasing sources of global Warming. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, it has recorded that there were 150 glaciers located in the Montana’s Glacier National Park however because of increasing effect of global Warming, only 25 glaciers left. Huge level climate changes are making hurricanes more dangerous and powerful. Natural storms are getting so strong by taking energy from temperature difference (of cold upper atmosphere and warm Tropical Ocean). Year 2012 has recorded as hottest year since 1895 and year 2013 together with 2003 as the warmest year since 1880.

Global Warming causes lot of climate changes in the atmosphere such as increasing summer season, decreasing winter season, increasing temperature, changes in air circulation patterns, jet stream, rain without season, melting ice caps, declining ozone layer, occurrence of heavy storms, cyclones, flood, drought, and so many effects.

Solutions of Global Warming

Many awareness programmes and programmes to reduce global Warming have run and implemented by the government agencies, business leaders, private sectors, NGOs, etc. Some of the damages through global Warming cannot returned by the solution (like melting of ice caps). However, we should not get back and try everyone’s best to reduce effects of global Warming by reducing the human causes of global Warming. We should try to reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere and adopt some climate changes which are already happening for years. Instead of using electrical energy we should try using clean energy or energy produced by solar system, wind and geothermal. Reducing the level of coal and oil burning, use of transportation means, use of electrical devices, etc., may reduce the global Warming to a great level.
