Origin of Pizza

Naples was a town in Italy where the first-ever modern pizza was invented. But interestingly, pizza has never created in Italy. The word pizza itself is being derived from a Greek word pektos, which means clotted. Delicious bread, which was covered with cheese, different oils, and spices that tasted amazing, was made. The turn in pizza history took place when the tomato was used the first time as saucing for it from here we got what we eat now the modern pizza. Antica pizzeria was the first-ever live pizza restaurant that served fresh pizza. It was situated in Naples in Italy.

  • And spread the dough like a circular sheet. Now the next thing we have to do is to prepare the toppings which will make the Pizza delicious. Get some mushrooms, mozzarella cheese, herbs, some tomato sauce over it. People may use other edibles as the topping over pizza for better taste.
  • Grind the cheese, chop the mushrooms. Now spread the sauce all over the circular dough, add the mushroom, and other toppings over it now put over the grated cheese all over the base.

My Favourite Food Pizza – Essay 2

Food is one of the indispensable essentials in everyone’s life. There is one Mahatma Gandhi saying that “this world is enough for everyone’s need not for everyone’s greed”.

Now this world is becoming more and more greedy which will destroy without even known to us.

But a greedy person too will say enough or no to food only. Everyone is living and chasing for food at all point of time.

Some of us will live with food as passion by changing into profession like chef. But this is not true. Not only chef will live as passion our mothers will do that with pure love.

We will come across many food items in our life which will occupy certain places in our mind. There is a category for each and every item we eat like favorites, we love, not again.

Without having reason, we hate some items by hearing the name itself. So now here we are going to see my favorite food.

Pizza

My Favorite food

Among my food items, my favorite food is the most delicious pizza. How it becomes my favorite will be seen later. Not only to me, most of our younger generations will be addicted to this food item pizza.

Yes, but before generation are slightly getting to know about pizza. So, they will not be attracted towards this.

Also, will give advice that pizza should not be eaten as it is a fast food category will spoil your health. But it always tastes great for me.

How it becomes my favorite?

If any food item is becoming our favorite means there will be some story behind that or may be some persons or some reasons.

Let me tell you that story. My parents are not used to get me into hotel so I don’t get chance of having a pizza much.

While in school with my friends I was arranging programs for a special day and we got late.

So, with our pocket money we ordered something to eat as we were hungry and tired, not having energy to do further work.

So, we Ordered pizza and ate fully without leaving a bite as it was a cheese pizza.

Always first impression is our best impression both in positive and negative sense. Then I started to like it. At the same time, some of my friends started to dislike it as its taste did not suit them.

Now I am addicted this so always thanks my friends to bring pizza in my life.

Cheese Pizza

Pizza – person

At home too, I started to order pizza. As my favorite is cheese pizza or meat pizza. Both will be more tasty and healthy.

Normally it will be a mixture of more things. We also can order in that way. Now they are delivering four varieties of pizza in single pizza.

Then I started to taste different types of pizza in different places. Even though my taste buds tasted many pizzas, my favorite is cheese pizza.

I eat pizza in every week without fail. For a foodie like me, I think it is better to try to cook pizza at home. My love for pizza makes me to think like that.

Pizza at home

I started to search like from history to recent updates about pizza. History is it is an Italian dish famous in America by some Italian dish makers in world war II.

There are more types of pizzas, hamburgers available in America. Then I started to search for how to make a good tasty yummy pizza at home.

As usual many sites opened with how to prepare videos. I begin with materials require to prepare pizza.

I watched each and every single step curiously to make my pizza tasty.

In the beginning I thought pizza is for only vegetarians with that color of vegetables and cheese later I realized that it is also available for non-vegetarians that too like meat, chicken pizza.

At first, I got to know many procedures to prepare, but I got confused.

I started with simple things like with three essentials ingredients of pizza- tomato in the vegetable category, cheese from dairy category, crust from grains category. These three itself will make our pizza a delicious snack food item.

At last I prepared pizza with thin crust with many flaws. Then I corrected it one by one. While everyone who is preparing pizza at home will start with electric oven but pizza lovers will prefer the taste of wood fired ovens.

Finally, I got to know the secret of pizza which is sauce not just crust in the final stage.

Sauce can be simply a tomato sauces which is sweet, salt, spicy or seasoned or creamy sauce like rose sauce, Alfredo or crust with little bit of flavored olive oil.

Whatever cooking method you use, the delicious smell coming out of oven is unmatched to anything in this world.

Why everyone like pizza the reason is simple. In this fast-moving world, we want everything should travel with us but in small size like compact.

This includes our mobile, laptop etc., likewise pizza can be taken with us. Yes, cold pizza also tastes nice.

But I like hot one which is crispy at the sides and soft in the middle that too crispy crust pizzas with extra cheese tastes like heaven.

Furthermore, the aroma or smell come from the pack when we open is always tantalizes like anything.

Pizza is available for all categories of people like affordable to unaffordable people and to all number of people like to an individual, to family, party people, romantic people, office celebration.

It is accessed by everyone that you can find one everywhere you go.

It is so loved because you can personalize it and feels you up. You can feed a crowd with it easily that you don’t have to cook and it can also be cooked quickly if you cook at home.

All children even those who does not eat food properly will also love it. If it is an instant party or a small party at house, we can have pizza and some soft drinks.

It will complete everything and gives party feel to everyone within affordable budget.

Pizza it is for everyone like veggie pizza for vegetarians, cheese pizza for picky eaters, meat pizza for meat lovers, pineapple pizza for fruit lovers, naan pizza for lovers of Indian flavor, pepperoni pizza for classic style lovers.

So, it does not matter if you are a vegetarian or not because it is available in all flavors and for everyone’s taste buds.

No matter how much I have eaten, I will never fail to make my stomach hungry to have my favorite pizzas in front of me.

Whenever I take the first bite of my pizza, flavors will explode in my mouth.

In addition to that vegetables, tomato, cheese, thin crust which makes it crispy makes me eat more and more.

FAQ about My Favorite Food Essay & Paragraph

We need food to provide our bodies with the nutrients and energy they require to function properly. These nutrients include carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals. Without enough of these nutrients, our bodies can’t grow and repair tissues, produce energy, or properly regulate functions such as our immune systems and metabolism.

It’s okay to enjoy your favorite foods as part of a balanced diet, but it’s important to remember that variety is key to a healthy diet. Eating the same foods repeatedly can lead to nutrient deficiencies and make your meals less enjoyable. It’s important to include a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats in your diet to ensure that you’re getting all the necessary nutrients. Additionally, having a balance diet can also help prevent chronic disease.

Fast food is often high in calories, saturated fat, sugar, and sodium, which can contribute to weight gain and an increased risk of chronic health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure when consumed in excess. It is important to be aware of the nutritional content of the fast food you are eating and make informed choices.

Eating fast food occasionally as part of a balanced diet is generally okay. However, it is not recommended to make a regular habit of eating fast food, as it can contribute to nutrient deficiencies and displace healthier food choices. Instead, it’s better to prepare meals at home using fresh, whole ingredients, which can be more nutritious and allow you to control the ingredients and portion sizes.

When writing about your favorite food, it’s important to be descriptive and use sensory language to convey the taste, texture, and appearance of the food. Here are a few tips on how to write about your favorite food:

  • Start by describing the appearance of the food. What does it look like? Is it colorful or monochromatic? Is it smooth or chunky?
  • Next, describe the texture of the food. Is it crunchy, chewy, or soft? How does it feel in your mouth?
  • Then, describe the taste and flavor of the food. What are the dominant flavors? Are they sweet, savory, spicy, or sour? Are there any unique or interesting flavors that make this food special?
  • Share the history and cultural background of the food. It can be interesting for the reader to know where it comes from and how it is traditionally consumed
  • Finally, explain why it is your favorite food. What is it about this food that you love? How does it make you feel? How often do you eat it?

Remember to be honest, specific, and use vivid language to make your writing come alive.

It is hard to make a list of the 10 most favorite foods in the world as different cultures have different tastes, preferences and cuisines. However, here is a list of some foods that are popular and well-loved globally:

  • Pizza – a dish made with a wheat flour base, topped with tomato sauce, cheese, and various toppings.

From pizza day in the school cafeteria to pizza parties at sleep away camp, there was nothing more exciting than when that cardboard box was opened to reveal a round pie with eight delicious slices waiting to be devoured.

Early on I learned that everybody eats their pizza differently. There are those who fold their slices in half, those who eat their slices with two hands, and those who (dare I say) like to cut their pizza with a fork and knife. Some people soak up the olive oil with a napkin, while others don’t mind a greasy slice. Some people like the crust, while others live for that first bite. Some people decorate their slices with spices, while others like it plain.

Nearly any ingredient can be put on pizza. From pepperoni and anchovies to barbecue chicken and pineapple, every pizza pie is like a unique work of art. Every pie is a different shape and size. There are thin crust pies, deep dish pies, and everything in between. There are pies with different cheeses and tomato sauce, or even pies with a completely different base altogether.

Growing up in the suburbs of Washington, DC there weren’t so many great options for pizza. Ordering in from Domino’s and Pizza Hut was a weekly occurrence. But when I arrived in New York in 2002, I was thrust into an entirely new pizza universe.

Living at an NYU dorm by Washington Square Park, I developed a quick allegiance with my local pizzerias. I could barely walk a block without passing by a shop — many of them claiming to serve up the best slice in the city. There was Joe’s on the corner of Bleecker Street and Carmine Street (which closed it’s doors in 2004) where tipsy students, homeless people, and even celebrities made their way to the counter through the wee hours of the morning. I remember eating a slice of pizza with Dave Chappelle one evening after he’d finished up a set at the nearby Comedy Cellar. Joe’s served up a good slice, but it was about more than the food. Going there was an adventure. It was where old friends would run into each other and new friends were made. You couldn’t help but notice the non-stop hustle and bustle around you — but at the same time there was sense satisfaction once you took your first bite of their delicious slices.

Within a five minute walk from my dorm, there were dozens of pizza places and I intended to try them all. I fell in love with many including Pizza Booth on Bleecker Street and The Pizzeria on MacDougal Street. I remember the night I ran into Adam Sandler at Ben’s Pizza on the corner of MacDougal and 3rd Street and the first time I went to Pasty’s Pizzeria on University Place — the final meal I ate in 2002.

Patsy’s opened my eyes to a whole other world of pizza — the upscale pie. I had always thought that a New York slice was served on a paper plate — intended for a quick late night bite on your way between watering holes. But I soon came to learn that many of city’s best pizza places didn’t serve slices and that eating their pizza involved a great deal of patience while your custom pie was prepared.

The fall of 2003 took me to what is still one of my favorite pizza places in the New York: Grimaldi’s . Although there is a subway stop a few blocks from this Brooklyn pizzeria, the only true way to get there is by walking over the Brooklyn Bridge, arguably the most picturesque ways to take in New York’s sprawling skyline. To me, a walk over the bridge and Grimaldi’s have become synonymous with one another. I can’t walk across the bridge without stopping at Grimaldi’s and I can’t stop at Grimaldi’s without walking across the bridge. This is the first thing I do with any out-of-town guest. It’s just off the beaten path enough to make a tourist feel like a New Yorker, yet not so touristy that a New Yorker feels out of place. It is the quintessential New York experience.

There have been days when I’ve been seated at Grimaldi’s right away and other times where I’ve waited behind hundreds of people outside in the cold. When you’re inside, the best view of the action is in the bathroom line, adjacent to the brick ovens where pies are constantly being removed, put on a platter, and placed on a nearby table as the steam still rises off the top. The pizza is thin enough that two people can split a large pie. In fact, ordering the small pie for $2 less is not even economical.

There is no better place to digest Grimaldi’s than on the Brooklyn Heights Promenade overlooking lower Manhattan. It’s the only place in the city that I can be assured to find at least one bride and groom snapping photos every time I’m there. On weekend afternoons it’s common to see five or six couples taking wedding photos. Walking back on the bridge, one feels content, satisfied, accomplished, and [insert positive feeling here]. There are few experiences that rival this.

The spring of 2004 took me to Italy where I spent a semester studying in Florence. At the time, I was not a big foodie, so I rarely kept track of where I ate. Today, however, if I was to return, my entire trip would be dictated by food. Although Florence is a very Americanized city, my apartment was a 20 minute walk from the center of town. One evening, while exploring the area around our apartment, my roommates and I discovered a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant on a hidden side street. There wasn’t a single English speaking person in the entire place and there was no English version of the menu. Although I have no idea what this place was named, I know how to get back there and one day plan to return. Their pizza pies were large, but so thin that everyone needed their own. Their pies were more closely resembled the shape of a puddle in the street than a geometric figure. Of the dozen times I dined there, my pizza never looked the same. I think about this place a lot — whether it still exists, what it was actually called, whether any other tourists every discovered it. But most of all, I’m upset that I can’t tell people traveling to Florence how to find it. I need to get back there for the sake of this pizza place.

Upon returning from Italy, I moved to the east side of Manhattan where I inherited a completely new set of local pizza places. Nino’s Pizza on the corner of St. Marks Place and Avenue A became a favorite along with Pizzanini on the corner of 2nd Avenue and St. Marks Place. There were drunken nights spent in Due Amici on 3rd Avenue and 12th Street and Two Boots on Avenue A and 3rd Street. I never really developed a favorite place in the East Village. All these pizzerias served solid New York slices. Pizza continued to remain an important part of my diet and determining which place to eat at was solely based on where I was when my pizza craving hit.

As my love for pizza deepened, I began to do more research online about where I could find the city’s best pie. All sources pointed to the same place – Di Fara – a modest shop in the Flatbush area of Brooklyn that has been serving its heavenly pizza for more than 40 years. It’s owned and run by Dom De Marco. He makes every single pie himself, working 12 hour shifts, 7 days a week. Apparently he takes 3 ½ days off a year. If he’s sick, the shop is closed. It shut its door for a few weeks in 1988 when De Marco went to Italy and another time in 2006 when he had foot surgery. The lines have been known to stretch for hours as he gives every single pie his undivided attention. He likes to know who every pizza is for before serving it to them. Watching him make a pie is like watching an artist paint a painting – in slow motion. He uses a hand grater for the cheese and meticulously smears the tomato sauce on the dough.

I made my first trip out there in the fall of 2006 and taking my first bit of pizza at Di Fara changed my life forever. Not only was it the best slice of pizza I’d ever eaten (and still remains so), but I honestly can say it was the best food I’d ever consumed. There is no description that could do each bite justice. Only a few steps away from the Flatbush Avenue stop on the Q train, it’s about 45 minutes from Midtown Manhattan. It’s a place that every New Yorker should go. I can only hope that De Marco continues to churn out his mouth watering pies for years to come. For weeks after my visit I had dreams about the pizza on a nightly basis and only wish I could return there more often that I currently do.

In the spring of 2007 the blogosphere started to buzz about a new pizza place that opened on 14th Street between 1st and 2nd Avenue. Lines were forming around the corner. And during peak hours, it’d be common to wait for more than an hour for a slice of the city’s most talked about new pizzeria. Artichoke Basille’s Pizza & Brewery reinvented my notion of a local pizzeria – primarily because it’s about a 60 second walk from my apartment. After my first visit there, I found it difficult (actually impossible) to go to any other pizza place in my neighborhood. Once that Artichoke craving hit, I knew where my last stop of the night would be before heading home. In fact, I still find it difficult to even walk by the shop without stopping in for a slice. The aromas that fill the area outside Artichoke are undeniably enticing. When I pass people on the street who are eating pizza, I lean over and take a big sniff of their slice – hoping to fill my sinuses with that signature Artichoke smell. If you couldn’t tell I’m a little obsessed.

Artichoke does it right. They have four kinds of slices – a square Sicilian slice, a classic Neapolitan slice, an artichoke-spinach slice, and a crab slice. All are delicious and so think and cheesy that they’re as filling as an entire meal. Now that the hype has dwindled down, so have the lines. A good thing for my taste buds, but a bad thing for my arteries.

Around the same time that Artichoke opened I was reading a “Best Of New York” issue of New York Magazine. They listed what they believed to be the best pizza place in each of the five boroughs. Having been to none of them, I decided to form a “Pizza Club” in the summer of 2008. The mission was simple: every other weekend we’d venture to a different pizza place on the list in an attempt to determine which borough truly has the best pizza. I couldn’t possibly imagine finding a better place than Di Fara in Brooklyn or Artichoke in Manhattan. Here’s where we went:

Brooklyn: Our first trip was to Franny’s on Flatbush Avenue in Prospect Heights. Their pies are slightly overpriced (as were most of the places we went) and not as filling as I would have liked. But tasty they were. I had the tomato and buffalo mozzarella pie. Not one of the best in Brooklyn, but a nice restaurant in a cute neighborhood that’s worth checking out.

Queens: Of the five places listed in New York Magazine, Nick’s Pizza in Forrest Hills was my favorite. Their pies were simple, yet uniformly excellent – a crispy crust, gooey mozzarella cheese, tangy marinara sauce, and a touch of fresh basil. We ordered one with mushrooms on top as well, a nice touch to an already solid pie.

The Bronx: It’s a trek up to Arthur Avenue in the Bronx, but once you reach this strip of authentic Italian restaurants, you’ll feel like you’ve been thrust in the center of a quaint town in Tuscany. At Zero Otto Nove , we tried three pies: Margherita (tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil), Patate E Porcini (mozzarella, sliced potatoes and porcini mushrooms), and Quattro Formaggi (smoked mozzarella, gorgonzola, provolone and fresh mozzarella). I particularly enjoyed the last two which were more unusual combinations – a nice paring with the traditional Margherita pie.

Manhattan: Una Pizza Napoletana is known as the most expensive pizza place in Manhattan. At $21.95 for a 12-inch personal pizza, it’s hard to feel like you’re not getting ripped off. Our group tried all four pies they serve: bianca, marinara, margherita, and filetti. The bianca (buffalo mozzarella, olive oil, garlic, basil, and sea salt) was my favorite, but the steep prices make Artichoke, which is right around the corner, a more appealing option.

Staten Island: After a ride on the subway, ferry, and bus, we finally made our way to Joe & Pat’s , a famous establishment in the city’s forgotten borough. In addition to a traditional cheese pie, we tried a vodka pie, and a pesto pie with fresh tomatoes. Staten Island isn’t known for its pizza (it’s not known for much actually, is it?), so I would say the highlight was the adventure out there, not necessarily the pizza itself. Nevertheless, it was fun to dine alongside locals in one of the Island’s most famous pizza places.

The Pizza Club visited two other pizzerias at the end of the summer: L&B Spumoni Gardens in the Bensonhurst neighborhood of Brooklyn and Di Fara. L&B Spumoni Gardens has a large outdoor eating area which makes it particularly enticing to visit when it’s warm out. They’re known for their Sicilian slices which the group overwhelming enjoyed more than the regular slices. The thick square slices are overloaded with tomato sauce and are definitely worth the trip out there.

Little did I know I’d return to Staten Island for pizza in the fall of 2008 as part of a Staten Island pizza tour. This tour is one of the first offerings by a newly formed tourism department which was created in order to bring more New Yorkers out to the Island. In addition to stopping at four pizza places, we visit the Staten Island Zoo, the Wagner campus, and various historical sites on the Island. Our first pizza stop was at Jimmy Max, my favorite of the afternoon. Their pizza was served with fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce, and basil leaves – pretty standard, but delicious nonetheless. After visiting Joe & Pat’s we made our way to Denino’s which reminded me of one of those sit-down Pizza Hut restaurants with waiter service. Not to compare their pies with those of Pizza Hut, but in a blind taste test, I’m not so sure Denino’s would stick out in my mind. The final stop was Lee’s Tavern, an unassuming bar on the corner of a quiet street. There isn’t even a name on the outside. We made our way to a backroom of the place where our already stuffed stomachs were filled with a final serving of pizza. At this point of the day it was hard to really rate the pies at Lee’s, but they seemed to be just as tasty as the rest of the pizza we’d been eating all afternoon. And with one final bite of crust, I was back on the ferry to Manhattan.

Pizza has obviously played a big role in my life. I eat it almost everyday and continue to keep my eyes and ears open for new places I’ve yet to try. Totonno’s in Coney Island is at the top of my list as far as New York pizza places go, after which I hope to work my way through some of the smaller neighborhoods of the outer boroughs in hopes of discovering some hidden gems. And one day I hope to visit Pizzeria Bianco in Phoenix, Arizona where Pizzaiolo Chris Bianco makes pies that are considered by many to be the best in the country. But in the meantime, I’ve created this blog for pizza lovers. I’ll post any pizza content I come across, which is a lot, in hopes of creating the go-to website for all pizza related content for those who love pizza as much as I do.

My favorite food is pizza

There is no doubt that pizza is loved by all the inhabitants of the globe. No one can dispute that pizza is wonderful and a delicious meal loved by adults and children.

But in my childhood I did not like it, I do not know why, but I used to reject it, despite the love of my brothers for it, and I did not even try to taste it.

But one day I said why not I’ll try it. I was so happy that I changed my strange attitude, and decided to taste it I was really impressed by its greed and the homogeneity of meat or vegetables and cheese together, and I liked all kinds of it .

From that day on, I bothered my family a lot by asking to eat it. I always tell them I want to make up for the years I didn’t eat with you, bring me pizza in the millions so I can enjoy it. We laugh a lot when I tell them this.

I think it changed my style from that day, I no longer refuse any food without trying it.

Perhaps I am not old and do not have many experiences, but through my age and my experiences in eating a variety of delicious foods, I can say that pizza is my favorite food, and it is the best food I have eaten so far, and I do not find any other food that can compete with it, and spread joy on me and the faces of others as it does. It attracts everyone with its cheerful colors and smart aroma, so I personally consider pizza my favorite food, and I consider it the best food in the whole world and I can never get bored of eating it.

Short Paragraph on My Favorite Food Pizza in 200 Words

I love eating pizza a lot. It is my favorite food. My mother is the person who makes pizza for me. There are different types of pizza but I love cheese pizza mostly. Because I think these types of Pizzas are healthy and give me strength. Eating a lot of pizza is not good for health.

But I always love to eat a lot of them. My parents scold me sometimes for that. But it is really hard to avoid pizza for me. It is like a drug to me. Pizza is mainly Italian food, but now it’s popular worldwide.

Lots of my friends love to eat pizza too. And sometimes we eat together in some restaurants. While we hang out, I love to have pizza there. I tried to make it myself, but I found it really hard. I didn’t have the proper ingredients to do that. I prefer buying it or made by my mom.

Though it is part of junk food, still, I love eating it a lot. When I see my favorite pizza in front of me, I feel so much hungry. I think I have a unique and different relation with Pizza. That’s why Pizza is my favorite food.

My Favorite Food Essay

500 words essay on my favorite food.

In order to perform well in life, our body needs energy. We get this energy from the food we eat. Without food, there will be no life. In today’s world, there are so many dishes available worldwide. Food comes in a wide variety all around the world. Dosa, Paneer, Naan, Chapati, Biryani, and more Indian delicacies are available. We are also offered western cuisines such as noodles, pasta, burgers, fries, pizzas and more dominating the food industry. In my favourite food essay, I will tell you about the food I like eating the most.

my favorite food essay

My Favorite Food

As the world is advancing day by day, it is becoming easier to get access to many kinds of food at our doorstep. Every day, we all want to consume great and delicious cuisine. There are many different varieties of food accessible all throughout the world. We all like different foods, however, my personal favourite is burgers. I have eaten many cuisines but my favourite food is definitely a burger. I cannot resist myself when it comes to burgers.

Burgers are one of the most convenient and easiest foods to eat on the fly when we’re in a hurry. We can have a burger at any time of day, whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or supper, and maybe some fries and a Coke to go with it. Many restaurants are well-known for making their speciality burgers in a particular style. Preparation changes from one establishment to the next. But what exactly makes a burger taste so good? They will taste vary depending on where you go, but they are all built the same. It is made up of a bun, a ground meat patty, and various toppings like cheese, onion slices, lettuce, and other sauces.

They are so soft yet crunchy, fresh and juicy that I love eating them. Even though there are many kinds of burgers, my favourite one is a chicken burger. The chicken patty gives the burger a juicy taste and it tingles my taste buds every time I eat it. I can already smell and taste it in my mouth as soon as I walked inside McDonald’s or any other restaurant that serves chicken burgers. As soon as I take a huge mouthful of it, I forget about any problems or troubles that are going on in the outer world and concentrate my entire concentration just on my chicken burger.

I love eating a burger which is filled with cheese and vegetables . The more vegetables you add, the better it tastes. My personal favourite is lettuce. It gives the burger the right amount of freshness and crunchiness.

I always eat my burger with ketchup. Most importantly, the thing I love about eating burgers is that I get to eat French fries along with them. They work as a great side to the dish and also make my stomach full.

Even though I liked eating a burger from a famous fast food joint, nothing beats the chicken burger my mother makes at home. She prepares everything from scratch, even the burger. Thus, it is extremely fresh and healthy too.

I know and feel that burgers have the great flavour and taste that would make anyone’s stomach pleased after a long day of work. I can tell by the reactions on people’s faces when they order their preferred burger variant. Overall, I don’t believe any other fast food will taste as good as a chicken burger. It’s just difficult to think that something will triumph in the future. As a result, I consider my favourite dish to be the best ever created.

A Great Variety

Perhaps the great thing about burgers is the great variety they offer. It has options for all people, who prefer vegetarian, non-vegetarian and even vegans. Thus, you can select the patty of your burger and dive right in.

There are a large number of burger joints being started in every corner of the city, each serving a variety of their own specialised and self-curated recipes. Burgers that are health-friendly and a go-to with a diet are also being introduced by these newly upcoming burger places. There are a lot many burger cafes that give their customers the choice to create their own burgers by providing them with a choice between patties, fillings, veggies, sauces as well as the number of burger layers they want.

Even though my personal favourite is a chicken burger, I also enjoy eating cheeseburgers and vegetable burgers. For me, all burgers taste delicious. Whenever we go out to eat with friends , I always order a burger.

My friends who do not eat non-vegetarian also eat burgers thanks to the great variety it offers. When we order food at home, we make sure to offer all kinds of burgers from cheeseburgers to chicken burgers, so that we get a taste of everything in our meal. Thus, I love burgers and their great variety makes it better.

Conclusion of My Favorite Food Essay

Even though my favourite food is a burger, I enjoy other foods as well like Pizza and Pasta. However, I feel when it comes to eating daily, nothing beats homemade food. The food we eat daily is what helps us gain energy. We cannot eat our favourite food daily as it will become boring then, but our staple food is something we enjoy eating on an everyday basis.

FAQ of My Favorite Food Essay

Question 1: Why do we need food?

Answer 1: We need food because it provides nutrients, energy for activity, growth. Similarly, all functions of the body like breathing, digesting food, and keeping warm are made possible because of food. It also helps in keeping our immune system healthy.

Question 2: Should you eat your favourite food all the time?

Answer 2: No, never. Favourite foods are meant to be enjoyed when there is any special occasion, or when you are tired of your regular homemade food. Eating too much of your favourite food will make your taste buds adjust to it and eventually, it will not remain our favourite. Excess of anything is bad and the same goes for our favourite food. Thus, we must eat it occasionally so that it remains our favourite.

Question 3: Is fast food healthy? Should we not consume fast food at all?

Answer 3: Fast food is often high in calories, sodium, and harmful fat, with one meal frequently providing enough for a whole day. It is also deficient in nutrients and nearly devoid of fruit, vegetables, and fibre. That doesn’t mean you should completely avoid fast food. It is feasible to eat fast food without jeopardising your healthy diet. Take advantage of the nutritious side dishes available at many fast-food places. Look for meals that include lean proteins, vegetables, and fibre, and avoid anything that is supersized.

Short Essay on My Favorite Food For Class 4

You know how they say “home is where the heart is”? Well, my favorite food feels like a home for my taste buds. That’s right – pizza! Pizza has been my go-to since I was a kid and it still holds strong as my top pick today.

Pizza comes in all shapes and sizes – round, square, with thin crust or thick crust, and with all sorts of toppings. But for me, nothing beats the classic pepperoni pizza. The combination of tangy tomato sauce, melted cheese, and savory pepperoni never fails to make my mouth water.

What I love most about pizza is its versatility. You can have it as a snack or a full meal; you can eat it hot out of the oven or cold the next day. It’s perfect for any occasion – movie night with friends, family gatherings, or even as a quick bite on-the-go.

But it’s not just about the taste – pizza also holds a special place in my heart because of the memories associated with it. I remember how excited I used to get when my parents would order pizza for dinner, and how my siblings and I would fight over who got the biggest slice. Even now, when we gather for family dinners, pizza is always a crowd-pleaser.

As I’ve grown older, my love for pizza has only intensified. I’ve even started experimenting with different toppings – from mushrooms to olives to pineapple (yes, pineapple on pizza is amazing). But no matter how many variations I try, the classic pepperoni pizza will always hold a special place in my heart.

In conclusion, pizza is not just a food for me – it’s an experience. It brings people together and never fails to satisfy. And for that reason, it will always be my favorite food. So next time you’re debating what to have for dinner, I highly recommend you go for a slice of pizza – it’s always a good idea. So next time you’re debating what to have for dinner, I highly recommend you go for a slice of pizza – it’s always a good idea.

Essay on Favorite Food Biryani ( 150-200-250 Words ):

Alright, let’s talk about one of my favorite foods – biryani. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re definitely missing out! Biryani is a popular dish in many countries and regions such as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and the Middle East. It consists of aromatic rice cooked with meat or vegetables and a variety of spices. There are many different variations of biryani, each with its own unique taste and flavor.

One of the reasons why I love biryani so much is because it reminds me of home. Growing up, my mom would often make biryani for special occasions or family gatherings. The delicious aroma of spices filling our kitchen would instantly make my mouth water.

But biryani is not just a dish for special occasions, it’s also a staple in many households. It’s a complete meal that is both filling and satisfying. The combination of tender meat or vegetables, flavorful rice, and aromatic spices makes for the perfect balance of textures and flavors.

What I love about biryani is that it can be customized according to personal preferences. Some people prefer chicken biryani, while others like beef or mutton biryani. There are also vegetarian options such as vegetable biryani or paneer biryani. And let’s not forget about the different types of biryani like Hyderabadi, Lucknowi, and Kolkata style.

But no matter what type of biryani you prefer, one thing is for sure – it’s a labor of love. Biryani is not something that can be whipped up quickly, it takes time and effort to prepare. The meat or vegetables need to be marinated in spices, the rice needs to be perfectly cooked, and then everything is layered together and slow-cooked for hours.

I also love how biryani brings people together. It’s a dish that is often shared with family and friends, and it’s always a hit at potlucks or dinner parties. Whenever I have biryani, it reminds me of the joy and love that comes with sharing a meal with loved ones.

In conclusion, biryani is not just a food for me, it represents my culture, my memories, and my love for food. It’s a dish that never fails to impress me with its rich flavors and textures, and I will always have a special place for it in my heart (and stomach!). So if you haven’t tried biryani yet, I highly recommend giving it a try – who knows, it might become your favorite too!

Short Essay on My Favorite Food Rice and Beans:

Rice and beans have always been a staple in my family’s diet. Growing up, I remember coming home from school to the delicious aroma of rice and beans cooking on the stove. It was a simple meal, yet it never failed to satisfy my hunger and please my taste buds.

Rice and beans are not only popular in my household but also in many other cultures around the world. In fact, it is considered a complete protein when combined together and is often referred to as the “perfect food”. However, what makes rice and beans so special to me goes beyond its nutritional value.

For starters, rice and beans are extremely versatile. They can be served in various ways – from a hearty bowl of stew to a simple side dish. I love experimenting with different flavors and spices to create new and unique variations of this classic dish. It never gets boring!

Moreover, rice and beans are budget-friendly and can easily feed a large family. As someone who comes from a big family, I appreciate the fact that this dish is not only delicious but also cost-effective.

But what truly makes rice and beans my favorite food is the sentimental value it holds. It reminds me of my childhood, family gatherings, and special occasions. It is a dish that brings people together, and I have fond memories of sitting around the table with my loved ones sharing stories over a steaming plate of rice and beans.

In addition to its delicious taste and versatility, rice and beans also have numerous health benefits. They are high in fiber, protein, and essential vitamins and minerals. They are also gluten-free, making them a perfect choice for those with dietary restrictions.

Overall, rice and beans hold a special place in my heart and will always be my favorite food. It not only satisfies my taste buds but also brings back cherished memories and nourishes my body. Whether it’s a simple weeknight dinner or a special occasion, rice and beans will always have a spot on my plate. So, the next time you are looking for a delicious and nutritious meal, give rice and beans a try – you won’t be disappointed!

Trad Wives Are Thriving in the Post-Dobbs Era

The influencers may seem harmless—until you consider them amid the erosion of women’s rights..

Morgan Jerkins July+August 2024 Issue

Last year, despite minding other people’s business online, I didn’t know what a “trad wife” was. Now it seems like every time I log in to Instagram or TikTok, there is another video of a beautiful woman cleaning her home or making an extraordinarily long and needlessly difficult meal. These trad wives, short for traditional wives, are women who post online content showing themselves adhering to patriarchal gender roles while keeping house and raising children—and making it look easy.

Take Nara Smith, a model and mother of three who’s married to Mormon actor and model Lucky Blue Smith. Nara, who’s biracial and opaque about her politics and religion, doesn’t claim to be a trad wife, but the signs are there. Through mellow voice-overs, she walks us through cooking barbecue chicken pizza or pasta from scratch in full makeup, jewelry, and evening wear. No powder, liquid, or sauce ever touches the hem of her sleeve or splashes her face. Her kitchen is spotless and grand. There is not a single sweat bead dotted on her forehead. In short, everything is perfect.

I wanted nothing to do with her or any self-identifying trad wife in my own small piece of digital real estate, but their immense popularity (and algorithmic dexterity) had allowed them to trespass, and I find myself unable to turn away. Chances are, neither can you. But while it might be easy to write off the trad wives as a silly meme or a guilty pleasure, they should not be taken lightly. Given the misogynistic messaging and white-centric ideals some of these influencers peddle, they are indicative of larger forces at play—henchwomen in an ongoing effort to functionally erase modern women from the public sphere.

To fully understand the rise of the trad wife phenomenon, it helps to look at its origins. In some ways, trad wives resemble the mommy bloggers of the mid-aughts to early 2010s. Back then, momfluencers like Dooce ’s Heather Armstrong and Catherine Connors of Her Bad Mother commanded massive audiences through confessional posts about breast pumps and postpartum depression. As writer Kathryn Jezer-Morton pointed out in a 2020 New York Times piece , mommy branding was different back then: These bloggers were messy; they did not hold back in revealing all of the stickiness and ugliness in their matrescence.

But then the vibe shifted. In 2016 and 2017, when Seyward Darby was doing research for her 2020 book, Sisters in Hate: American Women on the Front Lines of White Nationalism , she noticed an ominous subculture gaining prominence, one in which women were performing this highly curated image of wife- and motherhood. “It was aggressively anti-feminist, anti-diversity; some of it was proudly pro-white,” Darby says. Trump’s rise helped give these women a larger megaphone.

Trad wives are indicative of an effort to functionally erase modern women from the public sphere.

Of course, many influencers bragging about being stay-at-home moms are not white supremacists, but, as Darby points out, “it is a slippery slope—and sometimes there’s no slope at all—between ‘I’m just a nice woman who wants to be a wife and mom’ and having a very white nationalist agenda. Whether they realize it or not, those are the waters they are swimming in.”

Watching trad wife content can pull viewers into territory they didn’t expect. “What’s scary is that there is a subtext in all these videos,” Washington Post tech columnist Taylor Lorenz tells me. For example, a trad wife might advocate for “natural living” or homeschooling, and then veer into anti–birth control rhetoric or religious indoctrination. “When you engage with these videos, because they are so adjacent to fascist, far-right content, you are quickly led down a rabbit hole of extremism.”

Not all trad wives have direct links to the far right. But what unites them is a romanticized vision of domesticity, or, as Darby calls it, “June Cleaver 1950s cosplaying.” As self-proclaimed trad wife Estee Williams, who rejects any associations with white supremacy, declared in a 2022 TikTok video , “We believe our purpose is to be homemakers.” It’s not simply about looking pretty. Their aestheticizing of housework is a throwback to the mid-20th century, when women weren’t even allowed to get a credit card or a loan. Publications such as Ladies’ Home Journal were responsible for promoting a certain kind of wife as a way to reestablish social order after World War II, when many women had entered the labor force. As Ann Oakley puts it in her 1974 book, Housewife , “a good wife, a good mother, and an efficient homemaker…Women’s expected role in society is to strive after perfection in all three roles.” Most trad wife content is marked with this desire for perfection.

Some trad wives’ aesthetics hearken back to America’s colonial past. Ohio-based Kelly Havens Stickle, who has more than 56,000 Instagram followers, has published long posts in which she likened herself to “a pilgrim raising pilgrims,” “an old soul” who is “drawn to a nostalgic time in the past and pines for it to come back.” Another one of the internet’s most prominent trad wives is Hannah Neeleman (9 million Instagram followers), the mother of eight children and co-operator with her husband of the booming Ballerina Farm in Kamas, Utah. She will often post videos of Sunday morning church prep, her daughters getting their hair done while wearing quilted dresses as the American flag waves from the front porch. Or she’ll promote her linen aprons. The dream of homestead life among trad wife influencers is a bat signal for women who grew up in Christian fundamentalist spaces, as Kelsey Kramer McGinnis argued for Christianity Today : “They see it as a new way to spiritualize hyper-feminine womanhood and strictly defined gender roles. It’s content they have seen before, repackaged for a new generation.” It urges them to reminisce about a simpler time, when gender roles were firmly in place.

There are plenty of reasons not to glorify that era. As Gaby Del Valle pointed out in an essay for The Baffler , during the Free Soil Movement of the mid-19th century, homesteads were only offered to white families. When the birth rates of those families declined by 1890, social scientists warned of “race suicide,” urging white women to have more babies. Echoes of this appear in the posts of Ayla Stewart, one of the women Darby profiles, who blogs as Wife With a Purpose. To “restore our nation,” Stewart proposed a “white baby challenge” to see if other white women could match the six babies that she had birthed. Supporters reportedly responded to this content with “Make White Babies Great Again!”

In an illustration, a person stands in front of an enormous smartphone displaying an image of a woman in her kitchen holding a sandwich

So why are many millennial and Gen Z women an eager part of the trad wife audience? Here’s my theory: We’ve given up. The popularity of the trad wife content is demonstrative of a psychological resignation. In the past several years, we’ve experienced a pandemic, the fall of Roe v. Wade , and the end of the Girlboss Era. The rise of the trad wives marks what Samhita Mukhopadhyay, author of the 2024 book The Myth of Making It: A Workplace Reckoning , believes is “a response to the failures of a neoliberal workplace feminism” stretching from the 1960s to the present day—one that focuses on individuality. “What women fought for was an entry into the workplace,” Mukhopadhyay explains, but “being a mother in the workplace was almost untenable.” Even after decades of supposed progress, she points out, “we’re still not paid equally, and most women still don’t have resources commensurate with how hard they work and how they contribute to their families.” According to a 2023 report from the liberal research and advocacy organization the Center for American Progress, women were 5 to 8 times more likely than men to work part time or not at all because of caregiving responsibilities. Maya Kosoff, a content strategist and writer who admits to me that she has become obsessed with trad wives herself, says their popularity is “a reaction to perceived systemic failures” that seem like they “can be easily solved by turning to the simpler life of homesteading.”

So why are many millennial and Gen Z women an eager part of the trad wife audience? Here’s my theory: We’ve given up.

And look, escapism isn’t anything new. When life gets harder, it’s only natural that one would daydream about a different time. But fantasies are dangerous when the stakes are so high for American women right now. We have only started to feel the effects of the Dobbs decision. “We have not seen how bad it’s going to get as women are pushed out of public life over the coming years,” journalist and MeToo activist Moira Donegan tells me. “Our main educational institutions, our workplaces, our elected officials are going to start to look more male.”

Sociologist Tressie McMillan Cottom similarly argues that attacks on reproductive rights represent an erosion of women’s place in a democracy. “Women only get to be full citizens if they have control over when and how they have babies,” she says. “When that changes, your citizenship becomes vulnerable, so you attach yourself to a citizen: men. I think this reclaiming of being the traditional wife is here so long as there’s a threat.”

Trad wives may submit to their husbands, but that doesn’t mean “we think that we’re less than a man—that’s not what we’re saying,” Estee Williams argues. “Trad wives just believe that they are here, as women, for a different role—equally as important.” Though trad wife influencers freely choose to assume the role (and plenty make a pretty profit off the performance), their videos function as siren calls for women to close their laptops and pick up a mixing bowl and recede to the shadows like “the good ol’ days.”

You might be asking yourself at this point, Why can’t people simply enjoy things? So what if I like to watch beautiful women make marshmallows from scratch? Here’s the thing: We live in an attention economy. Your attention is currency. Every time you look at a video on Instagram or TikTok, the algorithm will keep boosting those same types of stories onto your feed. As Kyle Chayka, author of the 2024 book Filterworld , wrote in the New Yorker , “Algorithms would not have the power they have without the floods of data that we voluntarily produce on sites that exploit our identities and preferences for profit.”

You can never “simply enjoy things” when you log in to a social media platform. Every interest or disgust you have toward a topic is up for extraction. When you feast on trad wife videos, your eyeballs are implicated. Even if you don’t subscribe to the far-right or racist ideologies, you’ll be fed them so long as you keep watching. Believing you have no part in it is as naive as believing that touching a hot stove won’t get you burnt.
