"Horrid Henry: Aliens Ate My Homework" is the twelfth episode in Series 3 and the 116th episode overall.
Henry is a master of excuses when it comes to not giving in your homework. However, this time it looks as though he may have gone too far.
The episode begins with Mum and Peter in the kitchen, with Mum making toast and Peter eating cereal. She angrily calls for Henry to come down for breakfast, and Henry plods into kitchen, still wearing his pyjamas while Peter is dressed. Mum notices this, and scolds Henry for still being in his pyjamas. Henry ignores this, and sits down at the table, saying he's hungry while sighing. Henry then fills his cereal bowl with Sweet Tweets while Peter finishes his own breakfast. Peter gets down from his chair and thanks Mum for a delicious breakfast, and Mum quickly tells Peter not to forget his homework, handing it to him. Peter says he won't, and thanks Mum, before going out into the hallway. Mum asks if Henry's done his, and Henry hesitates for a moment, and Mum tells him that if he hasn't she wouldn't like to imagine what Miss Battle-Axe will say to him. Henry then imagines Miss Battle-Axe telling him to sit at the front with the girls, write one thousand lines of "I will do my homework." and clean out the store cupboard.
Frightened, Henry asks if Mum could write him a note saying he didn't do his homework because. Henry struggles to find a reason why when Mum asks him, and Peter comes downstairs with his backpack, coming into the kitchen and says "Why don't you just tell her the truth, Henry?"
Henry then remembers why he didn't do his homework, which was actually because he was picking between doing his homework or watching Too Cool for School . Fluffy then turned on the remote control, and Henry decided to watch TV. Mum repeats what Peter said, and Henry says he can't. Mum shakes her head and picks up the Sweet Tweets box, and looks at something on the back. She reads 'aliens ate my cereal packer'.' and scoffs at the idea. Henry then goes "Eureka!" and says aliens save the day, slamming his hand down on the table and sending his cereal bowl, still filled with milk and cereal, flying onto Peter's head. Peter screams "NOOOOOOOO!" which opens the title card.
Miss Battle-Axe is collecting her students homework, and goes up to Henry. She asks where his homework is, and Henry says the aliens ate it. Miss Battle-Axe asks how stupid Henry thinks she is, and Henry says not at all. Miss Battle-Axe then sits down on Henry's table, and asks about the aliens. Henry begins.
Henry says that it all began when he and Peter were playing snap, with Dad in the room, reading a book, just before having an early night (in this story, Henry is perfect, like Peter, while Peter is scared). Henry and Peter both say snap, and place a card at the same time. Henry then lets Peter take the card, and Mum comes in, saying it's time for bed. Henry is happy, and asks if they're having an early night. Mum says yes, and asks Henry if he'd like some hot chocolate. Mum says no, saying thank you in the process, and explains he's already brushed his teeth. He and Mum then smile at each other, and Peter dares Henry to race him upstairs. Henry and Peter then run up the stairs, laughing and giggling, as Mum and Dad watch, smiling. The two run into Henry's room and bounce onto Henry's bed, but Peter notices a light coming from Henry's fort. Henry then says he's going to investigate, and Peter says while he would go with Henry, he's scared. Henry tells Peter to stay where he's safe, and Henry, with a torch, goes to look. He opens the fort curtain, and finds Fluffy walking out of it. Henry, relieved, is about to leave, but then hears some weird sounds from inside the fort. That's when he sees aliens . Scared, Henry attempts to run away, but bangs into the alien spaceship. Some green lights flash down on him, and the spaceship opens up, as more aliens come out.
Henry says hi, and introduces himself. The aliens talk to him and each other in an unknown language. Henry compliments their spaceship, and they then force him into the spaceship, closing it behind them. Peter, watching from Henry's bedroom window, is shocked, but Henry is suddenly thrown out of the spaceship because he picked his nose. Henry then stares at the window, and the aliens look at Peter. They briefly talk amongst themselves, before heading inside the house, coming back out, carrying Peter. Henry tries to stop them, but they take Peter into the spaceship, and disappear into the night sky. Miss Battle-Axe then ask what happened next, and Henry says he was really worried about Peter. Miss Battle-Axe asks if that was true, or if he really could not wait to tell everyone what happened. The scene then shows various images, such as Henry giving a report, and many newspaper clippings about the aliens and Peter. Henry denies this, and says he couldn't help but think about all the good times he and Peter had, like Henry spraying Peter with a water gun, Henry pretending to be a cowboy and ride on Peter, and tying Peter to a tree, all while Peter is screaming for Mum. Miss Battle-Axe then asks what this all has to do with Henry's homework.
The scene changes to Henry snoring on the kitchen table with his homework, when he suddenly wakes up due to seeing the spaceship once again in his garden. Henry runs out, and is greeted by Peter, who comes down to see him. Henry pants, and asks if Peter is okay. The aliens then also come down, and wave. Peter tells them to shush, and reminds them of what they agreed. The aliens walk down, onto the grass. They all find partners, line up, and dance. When they're done, Peter says they've done a good job, and says they are all as good as gold. The aliens seem happy by this, and Peter tells them to remember to keep their spaceship nice and tidy, and then say they have to say goodbye. The aliens seem unhappy, and Peter reminds them of what they agreed: they would go back to earth, they would do the dance together, and the aliens would go away and leave them in peace. The aliens talk to each other for a moment, and seem to disagree. They then attempt to take Peter again, but Henry stops them, and offers them his homework instead, saying it holds all the secrets of universe. The aliens seem fascinated by it, and the two brothers take the chance to run inside while the aliens are distracted. Henry and Peter watch from the kitchen window as the aliens break the homework book into pieces, eat it, go back inside the spaceship, and fly away. Peter congratulates Henry on getting rid of the aliens, and hugs him, calling him the best big brother in the world. Henry calls Peter worm, but quickly changes it to little brother, saying he's glad Peter's home. Henry then says that that is the reason he has no homework to give Miss Battle-Axe, and Miss Battle-Axe calls him mistaken. Henry is confused, and Miss Battle-Axe explains the homework assignment was creative writing, and Henry's story was very creative. It was so creative, that Miss Battle-Axe says she'd like Henry to share it with someone else.
The scene changes to Henry and Peter standing in front of Peter's class, and Peter says Henry will be telling them the story of how he saved him from the aliens. but first, they'll sing Peter's special song together, ' Buttercups And Daisies '. Peter sings the first verse, and Henry, miserably sings the second, ending the episode.

Aliens Ate My Homework is the fun and exciting tale of a kid helping some stranded aliens catch an intergalactic criminal and repair their broken ship. For some reason, this reminds me of like an 80s or 90s straight-to-video B-movie, like Critters or Munchie, except without the excess of violence or horror.

Hi, I've been abducted by aliens since I was a child. I'm 26 years old, female and from the Northeast USA. They abducted my family too. I want to share that if you think these beings are here for the light and love, I want to share how dangerous it is to be abducted and how we as a society are better off without them invading our dream state.
