ROOM ASSIGNMENTS: April 2024 Civil Engineer Licensure Exam (CELE)

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) releases the room assignments for the April 2024 Civil Engineer Licensure Exam (CELE)  a few days before the examination.

This year’s first Civil Engineer Licensure Exam (CELE) will be conducted on April 20 & 21, 2024.

The said licensure exam will be conducted in the following testing centers: NCR, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga,Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

Room Assignments

Below are room assignments for the April 2024 Civil Engineer Licensure Exam (CELE) :

• Cagayan de Oro

Examinees shall report before 6:30 in the morning on the said date because latecomers will not be admitted.

Things to Bring Examination day

Here are the things to bring during the examination proper:

• Notice of Admission
• Official Receipt
• One (1) piece of metered-stamped window mailing envelope
• Two (2) or more pencils (NO. 2)
• Ball pens (black ink only)
• One (1) piece long brown envelope
• One (1) piece long transparent/plastic envelope (for keeping your valuables and other allowed items)
• Health Forms (Pursuant to Memorandum No. 68, series of 2020)
• Negative RT-PCR Test Results, if applicable, or Certificate of Quarantine (Pursuant to Memorandum No. 68, series of 2020)

Dress Code on Examination Day

Here are the specified dress codes from PRC:

• For male examinees, tucked-in white polo shirt with collar (without any seal, logo, or mark); decent pants or slacks
• For female examinees, tucked-in white blouse or shirt with collar (without any seal, logo, or mark); decent pants or slacks

Prohibited Items Inside the Exam Rooms:

• Books, notes, review materials, and other printed materials containing coded information or formulas
• Calculators which are programmable or with embedded functions, especially CASIO FX991ES and CASIO FX-991ES plus
• Apple, Samsung and other smart watches, cellular phones, ear plugs, transmitters, portable computers, Bluetooth and other electronic devices which may be used for communication purposes;
• Bags of any kind (place your documents inside the transparent/plastic envelope)
• Other examination aides not stated in this program

All personal belongings of the examinees shall be surrendered to the proctor and shall be placed in a secured space within the examination room.

The rules on the conduct of bodily search, an inspection of personal belongings of the examinees, and the seizure/confiscation of prohibited items during the licensure exam (Annex A of PRC Memorandum Order No. 57, s. 2020) shall be strictly observed.

Exam Coverage

The April 2024 Civil Engineer Licensure Exam (CELE)  will cover the following topics:

• Mathematics, Surveying and Transportation Engineering (algebra, plane and spherical trigonometry, analytics, descriptive and solid geometry, differential and integral calculus, highway and railroad surveying, plane topographic and hydrographic surveying, advanced surveying, design and construction of highways and railroads, piers, ports and wharves)
• Hydraulics and Geotechnical Engineering (fluid properties, hydrostatic pressures, fluid flow, buoyancy and flotation, relative equilibrium of liquids, hydrodynamics, water supply soil properties, soil classification, fluid through soil mass, stresses in soil mass, soil strength and tests, bearing capacity, compaction, consolidation and settlement, lateral earth pressures and slope stability)
• Structural Engineering and Construction (engineering mechanics, strength of materials, theory of structures, analysis and design of concrete, steel, timber structures and foundation with the application of the governing codes of practice)
• Program for April 2024 Civil Engineer Licensure Exam (CELE)  from PRC.

MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board of Civil Engineering releases the list of room assignments for the November 2021 Civil Engineer Licensure Exam few days before the exams.

The November 2021 Civil Engineer board exams will be conducted on November 14-15, 2021 at PRC testing centers located at NCR, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legaspi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

The Board of Civil Engineering is headed by its Chairman, Engr. Praxedes P. Bernardo and its members Engr. Pericles P. Dakay and Engr. Romeo A. Estañero.

Room Assignments for November 2021 Civil Engineer Board Exams

Examinees are advised to verify the room assignments to the links below or through the notices and announcements to be posted at the PRC official website. Here is the list of room assignments for the November 2021 Civil Engineering licensure exams.

What to bring on the day of exams?

Here are the things to bring during the examination proper:

• Any licensed Physician (government or private physician)
• Municipal Health Officer, Provincial Health Officer or City Health Officer
• Barangay Officer visiting the examinee’s residence attesting that he/she has been in quarantine for 14 days;
• Informed Consent Form and Health Declaration Form
• Face mask preferably N95 and Face Shield (to be worn at all times)
• 70% ethyl alcohol for regular hand disinfection
• Pre-packed meal/snacks and drinks

PRC said that examinees shall submit the Post Examination Health Surveillance Form to the concerned Regional Office 14 days after the conduct of exams.

What if I failed to take the exams?

In the event that the examinee failed to take the exams due to below reasons, examinee will be allowed to take on the next schedule subject to the following requirements:

• Health Related Reasons: The examinee must submit a letter to the commission or respective board with notarized Medical Certificate as attachment
• Travel Restriction Reasons: The examinee must submit a letter to the commission or respective board with Official letter or restriction from the concerned LGU

What to wear on examination day?

Here are the specified dress codes from PRC:

• For female examinees, white blouse or shirt with collar (without any seal, logo, or mark); decent pants or slacks

Not allowed during exams

• Apple, Samsung and other smart watches, cellular phones, ear plugs, transmitters, portable computers, Bluetooth and other electronic devices which may be used for communication purposes
• Bags of any kind

Board exams during the COVID-19 pandemic

The following precautionary health and safety guidelines shall be observed at all times during the conduct of the PRC licensure exams:

• Wearing of face mask and face shield. Examinees are also required to bring alcohol-based sanitizers.
• Examination personnel shall be provided with face mask, face shield and latex gloves.
• Observe physical distancing by maintaining 1-meter distance from one another.
• Body temperature will be checked using thermal scanner prior to entry at examination premises. Those with fever, colds or cough are not allowed to take the exams. Their payment will not be forfeited and can be used in the next licensure exam.
• Examinees are advised to bring their food as they will not be allowed to exit the examination room during break time and lunch time.
• Examinees shall sanitize before entering the examination room, after using the rest room and before distribution of test questionnaires.

PRC added that they will not be responsible of any lost personal belongings.

Ok lang po ang antigen test, 24hrs validity po nyan. Ang result ng test prior to exam lang po. Ok na po na the 1st day of exam lng valid yung test mo, kahit hndi na umabot the 2nd day ok lng po.

Sir Ayr, pag home quarantine po alam niyo ilan days valid yong certificate? nag quarantine po kasi ako ng oct 30 tapos okay na po yong certificate ko by nov 12 okay lang po ba yon? 2 days before the exam or dapat po 1 day before the exam po?

Hello. Nag exam ako ng ECE sa Davao and hndi acceptable ang 14days quarantine unless nagpositive ka po and you have to undergone. RTRCR and Antigen lang po acceptable. Ewan q lng po sa other places ng exam po.

Yung RT-PCR po pwede po magtest ng wednesday Nov.10, kasi pasok naman po sa 5days?

Here are the things to bring during the examination proper:

• Official Receipt of payment of application for examination
• One (1) piece long transparent/plastic envelope (for keeping your valuables and other allowed items)
• One (1) piece long brown envelope
• Two (2) or more pencils (No. 2)
• Ball pens (black ink only)
• One (1) Non-programmable calculators with the following features – addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, trigonometric function, logarithm and x y
• Forms of Health (Pursuant to Joint Administrative Order No. 01 (s 2020))
• Negative RT-PCR Test Results, if applicable, or Certificate of Quarantine or Copy of Vaccination Card for fully vaccinated examinees to the proctor on the exam day

What NOT to bring on exam day?

• Coded information or formulas that can be found in books, notes, review materials, and other printed sources.
• Calculators which are programmable or with embedded functions, especially CASIO FX991ES and CASIO FX-991ES plus
• Cellular phones, ear plugs, transmitters, portable computers, smart watches, bluetooth, and other electronic gadgets/devices which may be used for communication purposes;
• Any type of bag
• Other examination aides not stated

What to wear on exam day?

• For male examinees, a tucked-in white polo shirt with collar (without any seal, logo, or mark) paired with decent pants or slacks.
• For female examinees, a tucked-in white blouse or shirt with collar (without any seal, logo, or mark) paired with decent pants or slacks.

COVID-19 protocols during the exam day

During the PRC licensure exams, the following precautionary health and safety rules must be followed at all times:

• Observe physical distancing of at least two (2) meters between examinees.
• Examinees shall be restricted to their assigned seat;
• Wear face mask (at least 3-ply surgical mask, preferably N95 mask) and face shield at all times; 
• Bring 70% ethyl alcohol for hand disinfection;
• Avoid close contacts like “beso-beso”, hugging, handshake, and directly touching other persons;
• Avoid touching one’s eyes, nose, and mouth;
• When sneezing and/or coughing, facial tissues must be used to wipe the nose and mouth areas. Dispose of used facial tissues properly; and
• Avoid spitting in public, on floors, and along corridors.

PRC to hold licensure exam for aspiring electronic engineers, technicians

DAGUPAN CITY (PIA) -- Twenty-five aspiring electronic engineers and 15 aspiring electronic technicians are set to take their licensure examination to be conducted by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Regional Office I on April 11 to 12 and April 13, 2024, respectively.

Lawyer Arl Ruth Sacay-Sabelo, regional director of PRC Region 1, said examinees will undertake their examinations at the PRC Regional Office I Testing Rooms in Brgy. Carmay East in Rosales town.

“During the examination, examinees are required to bring their Notice of Admission (NOA), pencils (No. 2), ball pens (black ink only), one (1) piece long brown envelope, one (1) piece long transparent (non-colored) plastic envelope (for valuables), a calculator with specified functions, packed lunch (placed in a transparent bag/plastic), and water,” Sabelo said.

She encouraged all the examinees to thoroughly review the special instructions and advisories outlined in their NOA.

She advised the examinees to visit the official PRC website, www.prc.gov.ph, at least 3-5 days prior to the scheduled examination to verify their room assignment and download the examination program for their reference and guidance.

ECE-ECT Room Assignments: April 2024 Electronics Engineer board exam

MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) releases room assignments for the April 2024 Electronics Engineer (ECE) and Electronics Technician (ECT) Licensure Examination.

The first Electronics Engineering board exam this year will be conducted in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga on April 11 and 12 (ECE) and April 13 (ECT).

Where to check or verify room assignments.

Check or verify your school/building assignments at the PRC official website (www.prc.gov.ph) or through the Notices/Announcements to be posted at the PRC premises two (2) to three (3) working days before the date of the examination.

What time should examinees report to the testing centers?

Report to the school/building assignment before 5:30 A.M. on the first day of the examination to verify your room and seat number. Be punctual. Late examinees will not be admitted once the examination has already started unless there is a valid reason.

What to wear on examination day?

Examinees are required to wear the following attire every examination day:

Male examinees : white polo shirt or shirts with collar, tucked-in (without any seal, logo or mark); decent pants or slacks

Female examinees : White blouse or shirts with collar (without any seal, logo or mark); decent pants, slacks or skirts

What should examinees bring in the examination?

Bring the following on examination day:

a. Notice of Admission

d. Ballpen with BLACK ink only

e. One (1) piece long brown envelope

Note: All personal belongings of the examinees shall be surrendered to the proctor and shall be placed in a secured space within the examination room.

Examination results are released at an average of three (3) working days after the last day of examination.

For the April 2024 ECE-ECT board exam, PRC aims to release results on April 17, 2024 (Wednesday) or after 3 working days.

PRC Room Assignments for May 2022 Civil Engineer CE Licensure Examination

Manila, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced the room assignments for the May 1-2, 2022 Civil Engineer Licensure Examination for testing locations in Manila/National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legaspi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

The licensure exams for Civil Engineer were administered by PRC and the Board of Civil Engineering headed by its Chairman, Engr. Praxedes P. Bernardo and its members, Engr. Pericles P. Dakay and Engr. Romeo A. Estañero.

Precautionary Measures

The following precautionary measures shall be observed during the conduct of the May 2022 Civil Engineer Licensure Exam:

• Wearing of face mask and face shield
• Sanitizing using alcohol and hand-based sanitizers whenever necessary
• Physical Distancing of one (1) meter at all times
• Those with fever and cold are not allowed to take the exam
• Observe proper hygiene at all times

Title : Active carbons as nanoporous materials for solving of environmental problems

However, up to now, the main carriers of catalytic additives have been mineral sorbents: silica gels, alumogels. This is obviously due to the fact that they consist of pure homogeneous components SiO2 and Al2O3, respectively. It is generally known that impurities, especially the ash elements, are catalytic poisons that reduce the effectiveness of the catalyst. Therefore, carbon sorbents with 5-15% by weight of ash elements in their composition are not used in the above mentioned technologies. However, in such an important field as a gas-mask technique, carbon sorbents (active carbons) are carriers of catalytic additives, providing effective protection of a person against any types of potent poisonous substances (PPS). In ESPE “JSC "Neorganika" there has been developed the technology of unique ashless spherical carbon carrier-catalysts by the method of liquid forming of furfural copolymers with subsequent gas-vapor activation, brand PAC. Active carbons PAC have 100% qualitative characteristics of the three main properties of carbon sorbents: strength - 100%, the proportion of sorbing pores in the pore space – 100%, purity - 100% (ash content is close to zero). A particularly outstanding feature of active PAC carbons is their uniquely high mechanical compressive strength of 740 ± 40 MPa, which is 3-7 times larger than that of  such materials as granite, quartzite, electric coal, and is comparable to the value for cast iron - 400-1000 MPa. This allows the PAC to operate under severe conditions in moving and fluidized beds.  Obviously, it is time to actively develop catalysts based on PAC sorbents for oil refining, petrochemicals, gas processing and various technologies of organic synthesis.

Victor M. Mukhin was born in 1946 in the town of Orsk, Russia. In 1970 he graduated the Technological Institute in Leningrad. Victor M. Mukhin was directed to work to the scientific-industrial organization "Neorganika" (Elektrostal, Moscow region) where he is working during 47 years, at present as the head of the laboratory of carbon sorbents.     Victor M. Mukhin defended a Ph. D. thesis and a doctoral thesis at the Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia (in 1979 and 1997 accordingly). Professor of Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia. Scientific interests: production, investigation and application of active carbons, technological and ecological carbon-adsorptive processes, environmental protection, production of ecologically clean food.
