Technical education composition in english.

Technical Education composition : Education is the backbone of a nation. It removes superstitions, enlightens a person with knowledge and wisdom and awards him with skill to earn his livelihood. So, education is related with life and the education which is integrated with life is called technical education. Today the world is rapidly advancing towards development due to the application of specialized or technical education.

Meaning of technical education : Training in practical art and science is called technical education. Technical education is actually the learning of a particular art or science or craft by actual doing. Classification of technical education : Technical education is two-fold. One is the engineering, medical and agricultural sectors where the pursuers trainees achieve higher degrees from colleges or universities. And the another is general technical education. No degree from any college or university is required for this education. Generally, primary or secondary education is sufficient. For example, carpeting, mechanical, tailoring works.

Necessity of technical education : Technical education is very essential for the prosperity of a nation. It creates new prospects for employment opportunities and thereby relieves a country from the curse of unemployment . It plays an active role to sustain economic stabilities and to remove poverty from the country. Shortage of technicians is hampering our industries. So, technical education is necessary for greater production in industries. Moreover, we should transform our huge population into skilled manpower by gıving them technical education. We can also earn a lot of foreign currencies by exporting this manpower to foreign countries. After all, the more we emphasize on technical education, the more our economy will be strong and stable.

Present condition / state of technical education : At present, there are three stages of technical education provided by the government of Bangladesh. These are-(i) The degree stage (ii) The diploma stage and (iii) The certificate stage. About 1400 students can pursue the degree stage. On the other hand, there are 23 diploma providing institutions and 3 technical education institutions. However, the number is very insufficient comparing to the necessity.

Steps to be taken : There are mismanagement and lack of structural facilities in implementing technical education in our country. So, for the betterment of our country, the Government should undertake a number of initiatives to expand technical education. First of all, more technical institutions have to be set up. Then, qualified and trained teachers should be appointed, fund should be allotted for arranging educational materials and short term training courses should be provided. Besides, emphasis should be given on cottage industries, dairy industries etc. Finally, people should also be made aware of the importance of technical education through the media .

Conclusion : In conclusion, it may be stated that there is no alternative to technical education in this age. It is only technical education that can bring success and prosperity to a nation. Therefore, considering the development of the country, the govt. and the public both should come forward to flood the light of technical education across the country.

                                             Technical Education Essay

Education plays an important role in progressing mankind and societies as a whole. General education has in the past proven to be key in promoting livelihood and increasing any nation’s labor force and productivity. However, the current need for labor has rendered general education insufficient for the labor market in the wake of fierce competition. This insufficiency is evident from a large number of unemployed who can boast of their certificates but are not considered skilled and technical enough to meet the current demand for labor. Furthermore, with the governments striving to provide basic education to all its citizens as a basic human right, its value has decreased over time. This calls for a need to focus on technical education and training in order to expand the expertise of human resources.

What is Technical Education?

Technical education is a type of education providing specialized skills and practical knowledge and is concerned with technology. Its difference from general education is that it makes learners focus on special fields and increase their expertise on the same. These special fields may include carpentry, agriculture, engineering, medicine among others. Learners who go through this education are referred to as technicians in the fields they focused on.

What is the importance of technical education in a country?

Technical education is important for the progress of any economy. People with specialized skills are needed for the construction of companies, development of real estate, to build a road that improves the infrastructure of the country. Having adequate numbers of technicians in each field increases the rate of development in a country.

This type of education solves unemployment issues that are prevalent in most countries. The skills that one acquires from technical education are mostly in high demand in the labor market. In cases where one is unable to find a job, he or she can start and run a business based on skills and practical knowledge. With this, the unemployment rate reduces.

When it comes to promoting the livelihood and the economic status of a country, technical education might just be the key. A large pool of technical labor means that a country is capable of producing more. By producing more, a country may benefit by exporting the surplus. The money realized from these arrangements increases the Gross Domestic product hence the economic status of a nation. In another perspective, a country having a large pool of technical labor may save the resources required to hire technical services from other countries.

Technical education in the Kenyan context

Kenya being a developing country, it is evident that we still don’t have the required technical labor force. The focus has always been on general education and this has resulted in the country having to hire experts from other countries to construct the road and other construction works. The unemployment rate in Kenya is high because many do not have the skills and practical knowledge in specific fields. However, the current government has come up with various programs to promote technical education. Technical and training institutions have been built. Programs such as Kazi Mitaani have promoted the youth to gain and apply their skills in specific areas. If the country continues on this trajectory, then there is hope in our economic systems.

Technical Education Essay with quotes for Class 10, Class 12 and Graduation

“science is a key which unlocks for mankind a store of nature.”.

In the present day of keen competition and hard struggle, general education is found to be sadly insufficient to procure for the man his livelihood. The number of men with general education is legion and all the various departments where these men can be provided are literally packed. The unemployment problem is growing keener and keener every day and unrest and discontent are daily gaining ground.

Technical education means teaching students and others some practical or mechanical art. It includes training in trade, commerce, carpentry, weaving, agriculture, medicines and engineering. It helps to meet the needs of today’s world of machines. Those who get such education become technical experts or technicians.

Technical education plays a very pivotal role in the modern age. It produces engineers, builders, doctors and technicians. It promotes the material and economic advancement. People begin to have faith in the dignity of labour. We can save a lot of foreign exchange if we have our own technical experts.

“Man lover to wonder and that is the seed of science.”

Technical education is lacking in Pakistan. Our schools and colleges produce men who are fit only to be clerks. Our youth hankers after office jobs. They dislike to work in factories and hate to learn practical skills. This is why unemployment is on the rise in the country. Poverty in Pakistan is due to the neglect of technical education. Our country is rich in raw material resources, but we cannot enjoy the advantages only because we are not equipped with any technical knowledge.

“Science is nothing but trained and organized common sense.”

The abundance of production is required to suffice the needs of growing population. Fertilizers, insecticides, pesticides and mechanized farming are quite common and widespread. Sufficiency is the need of the hour, but all these tactics have ruined purity and worth of natural things. Lands are cultivated and they fall to produce the required quantity because of incessant cultivation. The use of these substances for a long time has proved damaging.

Factories which produce hundreds of articles of daily use are letting out poisonous fumes which contaminate earth’s atmosphere and water. This contaminated water is supplied to crops land hence, proves damaging to health. Health is wealth which we are losing.

Excavation for various purposes has taken our minerals from the earth. This earth is losing its strength and it is being polluted by man for construction of houses, markets and offices. We are spoiling nature and pilling pollution in various forms.

“The health effects of air pollution imperil human lives. This fact is well-documented.”

2nd Essay on Technical Education and Its Importance & Value in Human Life

Technical education is a branch of the vocational education. It plays an important role in the progress of a man, a society, a nation and a country.

Technical education aims at providing us knowledge and training in various skills, which have a practical utility for us. It helps us in earning our livelihood.

Technical education plays very important role in the life of the modern man. America,  Britain, France, Germany, Japan and China are rich, prosperous and advanced countries only because of their progress in technical education.

Technical education produces engineers, doctors, architects mechanics and experts in various skills. They are very useful in an industrial society. It produces skilled workers who work for the prosperity of a society.

Through technical education, we can increase the material resources of our country. It promotes material prosperity. It develops our economy. It has a great educational value. With its help, people have begun to have faith in the dignity of labour. We can earn a lot of foreign exchange if we have our own technical experts.

Technical education plays an important role in making a country rich, prosperous, resourceful and strong. But too much technical education converts a man into a machine. A man’s specialized knowledge makes him unfit for other jobs. In order to make technical education useful, we should also get spiritual or moral education. No education can be called complete in the absence of spiritual or moral education.

Poverty in Pakistan is due to the lack of technical education. Our country is rich in raw material resources, but we cannot derive their benefits because we lack in technical education. We should, therefore establish more and more Technical Institutions throughout the country . We should also popularize the idea of the dignity of labour among our educated young men, using the services of Radio, Television, Newspapers and Film Industry.

To conclude , all the progress of a country depends upon its progress in the field of technical education. Technical education plays an important role in the economic and industrial development of a country. To make our country and countrymen rich, prosperous and strong, we must have to establish more and more Technical Institutions in country , for imparting technical education and training and to our educated youth in various skills.

How to Write A Technical Essay

Thornie longmuir.

  • April 5, 2022

Technical Essay

Unlike personal or explanatory essays, technical essays are designed to inform about a technical topic. Such papers tend to have a more regulated format than other papers. Thus, writing requires a sense of organization.

  • Purpose of the essay

You need to study a technical subject and explain how to accomplish a specific technical assignment or to argue for a specific method of doing something. Essays are written for such disciplines as computer science, math, physics, and other technical subjects.

As you can see, writing a technical essay may not be easy, especially if you have this task for the first time. If you face some problems, you can get help from services like getcodinghelp.com . There, you can find an expert who understands your topic. Such help is also suitable for those who cannot complete the task on time.

  • Essay format

Technical essays have the same format as a research or other scientific paper. However, you need to find out if there are any special formatting requirements for your paper. You may need, for example, to use a specific font or align paragraphs to the left of the page without indents. You need to check whether your essay should be written in MLA , APA , or Chicago format style. In the academic sphere, not following the required style can lead to a low grade; in the business sphere, poor formatting can make you an amateur.

  • Structure of a technical essay

Start with a heading that describes the question you want to answer or the methods you are about to describe. Then write an abstract section detailing your question or method, your research process, and your conclusion, all in a short paragraph of several sentences. After that, create headings for the introduction, main body, and conclusion.

  • Writing essay sections

In the introduction of your technical essay, describe why you chose to explore this topic and why it is of value to your readers. Then provide a description of what you intend to research in the following paragraphs, and then dive into the details of your research in the main body. If you have conducted multiple experiments or explored multiple questions in your research, use this section and write subheadings describing what you are going to talk about in this particular subsection. In the conclusion, describe how you have achieved the result of the research process. At the very end, include the section with used sources.

  • Recommendations for writing an IT essay

By creating this essay, students demonstrate the skills of independent search and analytical work, immerse themselves in the topic, and try to find a solution to a specific problem that is embedded in the topic of the paper. But not all students know how to write an essay in IT. There are certain recommendations following which you can write a high-quality, informative, meaningful paper.

6. Stages of writing an essay on IT

An essay on IT is a scientific work; therefore, it should be approached responsibly and with complete seriousness. When writing it, the student reviews existing sources of literature and supplements the material with his or her own conclusions.

Let’s consider in stages how writing an essay looks and what needs to be taken into account.

  • Choosing a topic for the technical essay

As a rule, university teachers offer students a list of topics to choose from. When the topic is chosen, it is approved by the teacher. Alternatively, you can offer your ideas, but it should be borne in mind that the topic should be relevant and correspond to the content of the IT discipline.

  • Collect and analyze the material for the technical essay

This stage allows you to find information on the selected topic presented in different sources. Libraries, textbooks, the Internet – there is a lot of material here. If you have difficulties with the search, it is recommended to contact the teacher who will tell you where and in what sources you can find relevant information.

  • Think over the structure of the essay

There is no need to come up with something new since there are certain rules for the format and content of scientific works, and an essay on IT is no exception. It consists of:

  • Introduction
  • The main body – sections, subsections, paragraphs
  • List of used literature

Difficulties can arise when writing the main part of the text. Here, it is necessary to reveal the topic as much as possible, study the problem, and find a solution independently or based on information from other sources. If the student performs any calculations or creates tables or graphs, then they should be attached at the end of the essay. It is also important to adhere to the length recommended by the teacher.

7. Common mistakes

  • The text compiled purely on the basis of the author’s own thoughts, without using sources on the topic of the paper. The author is recommended to competently alternate personal thoughts with the studied information – this is how the objectivity of the presented data is achieved.
  • A bias towards presenting your own thoughts with a focus on the points of interest to you. This approach reduces the quality of the essay.
  • Lack of understanding of the essence of the problem posed with a lack of coherent text. A good technical essay is a detailed, comprehensive study of a topic. Such a paper is interesting to readers and valuable as scientific material.
  • Enumeration of outside thoughts, and the lack of the author’s position. Such an essay is not suitable, because without the author’s opinions it is not unique, but looks like a collection of other people’s ideas, developments, etc.

When it comes to writing technical essays, some students don’t know how to adjust. For this reason, we have presented this guide. You will succeed in writing if you follow our recommendations. Good luck!

Technical Education

Essay on Technical Education (650 Words)

Recently Pakistan celebrated its 70th year of independence. We celebrate it with zeal and yet there was little to celebrate. In spite of the 70th year of freedom, we have failed on many fronts. For example, the problem of educated unemployment has been on increase. Every year there are thousands of graduates and post-graduates turned out by our colleges and universities. But they fail miserably to find jobs. They remain unemployed mainly because their education and In spite of so much education, they are not capable of training is defective, to stand on their own feet . They cannot start their own business workshop or factory. They all run after white collar jobs. They seek only government and office jobs as clerks and bureaucrats. While free and independent, Pakistan need doctors, nurses, technicians, computer operators, teachers, pilots, scientists, mechanics, bankers and executives.

Our education system is very defective. It needs to be made technical and job – oriented. It should be linked to industries . Technical and vocational is the need of the hour.  There should be more technical education and vocational institutions where students are taught how to stand on their own feet and not to depend on government jobs.[the_ad id=”17141″]

For want of such an education, Pakistan presents a scene of poverty amidst plenty . Pakistan is rich in natural resources . And yet people are poor is very low. They don’t have even bare necessities. Their standard of life. For one post, there are thousands of applicants. We have failed to use our rich resources properly. It is the proper expansion of technical education and training that can help us in solving the problem. Youg men and women in schools and colleges should be taught how to use their hands with their minds. They should be trained in various trades of their choice. It will enable them to be independent in the matter of employment.

There are jobs but not suitable and trained hands. This is very strange and difficult situation. We need a big force of trained and skilled workers. But it is not there. Instead there are millions and millions of graduates and MAs, not good for anything. The result is much frustration and unemployment. One problem gives birth to other problems. Unemployment leads to indiscipline, crimes, and violence.[the_ad id=”17142″]

We need trained hands for rapid industrialization. We are in urgent need of engineers and technologists. But they are not there in sufficient number. We want experts and specialists in various fields of agriculture, irrigation, machine-production etc. Without efficient and expert hands, we cannot compete with other countries.

Liberal education is not enough. There should be specialization and diversification. The higher education should be limited to very selected few. At high school·level itself, there should be training in various technical trades and skills. So that the students may be absorbed in industries soon after their schooling.

Pakistan cannot progress until there is a fundamental change in our educational policies and programmes. We need urgently more technical schools for polytechnics, vocational and professional courses. There should be many more engineering and professional colleges. Only technical education can put Pakistan on the international map. We have huge and unlimited manpower and natural resources. But they can yield results only if we go technical. Our progress solely depends on our becoming vocational oriented. This is the only direction we should move in and move fast.

In recent years, our government, national leaders and thinkers have realised ) this necessity. Many technical institutions have been opened. Several : agricultural and engineering universities have been opened. Industrial Training Institutes, polytechnics, engineering colleges have been set up. Many courses have been vocationalised. Yet there is need for more efforts in this direction. The remedy lies in more and yet more technical education. Technical education should be taken to the doorsteps of the people. Cottage industries should be helped and promoted. Young men and women in villages and towns should be trained in vocational courses.

What Is Technical Writing?

write a short composition on technical education

Written by Scott Wilson

what is technical writing

What is technical writing? Technical writing is the process of providing documentation and instruction for technical processes, procedures, or equipment. It provides accessible cues, techniques, and guidance for users of programs or machinery. Technical writers need both advanced writing skills and an understanding of the technology or systems they will be describing.

Technical writing is a category of expository writing: a written work designed to explain facts or process clearly and unambiguously to the target audience. You find technical writing in all kinds of places today:

  • User manuals for every kind of product or service
  • Help files embedded in computer programs
  • App introduction screens and overlays
  • YouTube training video scripts

Any effort to document how a product works or how to use it will fall into the category of technical writing.

As the world has become a more technology-driven environment, technical writing has become one of the essential writing skillsets needed by corporations and other organizations. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), demand for technical writers over the next decade is well above average, running at 12 percent. It’s a writing field that pays well too. The BLS shows technical writers earning an average of $81,470 per year. The top 10 percent rake in more than $125,010 annually.

Becoming skilled at technical writing is one way that any writer can find a path to a healthy income using their skills. And getting a college degree is the best way to become a technical writer today.

How Is Technical Writing Used Today?

architect using phone

Traditional kinds of technical writing could include:

  • Legal case analyses
  • Corporate operating procedures
  • Setup guides for computers
  • Software user manuals
  • Programming interface documentation
  • Product case studies

The information technology explosion and mass adoption of highly complex software systems and devices changed all that.

The technical writing process today requires both a special kind of writer and a special kind of writing. Technical writers must:

  • Be able to assess and understand the technology and processes they are being asked to document
  • Be able to work closely with engineers or developers.
  • Have a flair for using language to take highly technical concepts and explain them in simple, easy-to-grasp ways

And even as technology becomes more intuitive and seamless, technical writing is essential to the success of any mass market tech product launch. Even as it becomes more and more unnecessary to explain the complexities of software to users, technical writing is edging into the marketing world to ensure products are described accurately.

Command of metaphor, a broad vocabulary, and strong research skills are essential in technical writing. These are all skills that can be picked up through creative writing studies.

What Is the Goal of Technical Writing?

The goal of technical writing is to take a subject that is mysterious to the reader and make it clear. Technical writers are a kind of translator: they find ways to take complex information or processes and deliver it to the target reader in a way that is understandable, or even intuitive.

No one reads technical manuals or help articles for fun. There is also a need for technical writing to be as brief as possible. Finding ways to restate facts or procedures quickly but clearly is the real art of technical writing. The skill of getting directly to the point without leaving out any necessary pieces of information is the real art of technical writing.

What Is an Example of Technical Writing?

hr policies

Corporate environments are full of technical writing. Reports, employee manuals, financial analyses and other memos and work products are often examples of technical writing. As a consumer, any new product you buy will also come with examples of technical writing. Every phone, food processor, or car sold today comes with some kind of user manual—that’s technical writing, too.

But technical writing is no longer restricted to traditional formats. Today, companies are working harder than ever to reach users in media they prefer. That’s lead to an explosion of YouTube or TikTok how-to videos… the scripts for which are all examples of technical writing.

Finally, a lot of technical writing has made it into technology products themselves. The next time you get a little pop-up describing a feature you are trying to use, or go through an intro screen with a tooltip, you’re reading a very concise, very tightly crafted piece of technical writing.

How To Get Into Technical Writing

There is big demand for talented technical writers today, but that doesn’t mean just anyone can apply.

Technical writers typically come to the field by one of two different routes:

  • Earning a degree and developing expertise in a technical field , then developing writing skills in order to document that field clearly.
  • Earning a degree in English or related subjects and then developing detailed understanding of a technical field in order to describe it accurately

That means acquiring two different kinds of education at some point in your career path. On either route, a degree or a certificate in writing is an option to help you fulfill one of those two legs.

Is Technical Writing a Good Career?

developers working together

It’s also a lucrative path, as long as you earn at least a bachelor’s degree. The average salary for technical writers for 2021 according to BLS was $78,060 per year. The top ten percent, though, make more than $125,010 annually.

The job involves far more than writing. Unlike many writers, technical writers are almost always part of team. They have to perform work such as:

  • Interviewing engineers and other technical staff for information on products and processes
  • Reviewing work material and using products they will describe
  • Refine technical documentation based on end-user comments and questions

All of this comes with deadlines, which can make technical writing both fast-paced and stressful compared to some other writing jobs.

But it’s also exciting. Working in groundbreaking industries on new and innovative products is a kick. It’s also a constant opportunity to improve, honing your skills and knowledge to stay up-to-date with new trends and technologies.

One obstacle for many people interested in technical writing are technical skills. It’s important for a technical writer to be able to grasp the technology they are writing about sufficiently to explain it to someone else.

If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough. ~ Variously attributed to Albert Einstein and Richard Feynman

Of course, just understanding the technology is only half the battle. Learning how to write about it is an undervalued but equally important skill. Many technical writing programs exist to help teach the basic skills and expectations on the writing side of the job, including:

  • Written communications
  • Digital literacy
  • Information management
  • Technology and culture

These programs also frequently offer degree tracks or concentrations in various industries that rely heavily on technical writers, such as health sciences or information technology.

Technical Writing Certification

In order to write a good user manual, you have to go beyond general understanding and into practical experience. For example, if you’re writing technical documentation for video editing software, you can’t just imagine how a video editor would use the app. You’d have to use it yourself and consult the developers who built it.

Second, consider enrolling in courses run by organizations such as:

  • The Society for Technical Communication (STC)
  • American Medical Writing Association (AMWA)
  • National Association of Science Writers (NASW)
  • International Technical Communication Qualifications Foundation (ITCQF)

Acquiring certification from one of these associations shows hiring managers that you’re serious.

The first step in getting any one of these specialized certifications is to enroll in the online courses these organizations offer.

Although these certifications offer the basic skills in expository writing and description that a technical writer needs, they may not be the end of the road in writing education. Writers are always growing, and creative writing programs are one option that offer enormous potential to polish all kinds of writing skills.

How To Improve Technical Writing Skills Through a Degree in Creative Writing

writer using technology

Technical writing has transitioned from a dry, by-the-numbers presentation of facts and features to a more user-friendly, tech-savvy field. Attention spans have been dropping through the technology era: in 2000, the average human attention span was 12 seconds. In 2013, it was only 8 seconds. That’s less than a goldfish. But it’s what technical writers have to work with.

That means creativity is the name of the game in getting technical data to the people who need it. The technical writer of tomorrow may need to be as familiar with screenwriting as manual formatting; they may have to work within the bounds of tiny tooltips or to create evocative stories to tell during first-use tutorials.

Although these are all kinds of expository writing, creativity and imagination are absolutely required to accomplish them. You need inspiration and flair to fit good communications into the time and space available to technical writers today. Creative writing degrees help you develop exactly those skills .

Creative Writing Programs Develop Different Perspectives To Help You Reach Your Audience

With broad exposure to different kinds of writing and literature, challenging assignments, constant feedback, and a diverse audience of fellow students and professors, studies in creative writing hone your ability to reach readers on every level.

Part of that comes through reading assignments in the program itself. Students are expected to read and analyze a wide range of different works by various authors. That process will expose you to many new techniques and ideas for making connections with different groups of readers.

Creative Writing Degrees Exercise All Your Writing Muscles

Creative writing programs are also well known for the sheer volume of writing and polishing that are required. This is excellent practice for technical writers, who frequently progress through multiple drafts and iterations. You’ll learn to take feedback and incorporate it into your work, as well as hone every paragraph down to polished perfection.

That level of commitment and production also builds necessary writing skills like research and outlining. Although the subject matter in a creative writing program may be different, the process of developing knowledge and breaking down concepts through outlining are key skill for every technical writer to develop.

In an era where technical writing is going through big changes, a creative writing degree will help you redefine the field for tomorrow. With core skills in the areas that make all writers great, creative writing graduates have everything they need to bend their career toward any field that interests them.
